So you're implying that Donald Trump murdered 150 people? That's really fcked up, man. You might not like him, but he's the President, and you shouldn't be making stuff up about him like this.

I'm responding to the poster who said Trump caused deaths. I asked the guy to show me proof that Trump caused those deaths. And do you read anything that I write on this thread? Not liking Trump? LOL

Cruise begins 1/20, one known positive on 2/1, quarantined in port 2/3, by 2/20 the one known positive had infected another ~630 people. We dont know if the ship imposed any measures when at sea, reports from the docked quarantine were that it was not well controlled, passengers however may have enacted self quarantine measures. A cruise ship may not have an equivalent amount of comingling or randomized interaction as cases in society would show.

An unknown number of infected persons who were not symptomatic, no one had used the word self quarantined at that time.
If you are saying the CFR on the cruise ship isnt matching the CFR numbers we have reported, that is because unlike the cruise ship, there is a significant population who has Covid19 that has not been tested to confirm positive for it. You also seemed oddly optimistic in another post that half of those infected show little symptoms. You understand that is why the spread is so rapid and dangerous right?

It is not more dangerous than flu depending on the data. This indicates that it is dangerous for elderly people with underlying conditions. OTOH those patients are also susceptible to the yearly flu. We all die at some point in out lives, that is reality. When we pass away a number of people will be listed as dying of 'pneumonia' , Many of those die of the flu. We don't react hysterically to the ~20k who die every year from the flu. Life goes on.

So you think Trump is responsible for the deaths then, even if it's not first degree murder? Maybe like manslaughter?

I'm not disagreeing with what they are proposing. Like anything, the devil is in the details.

True. The first bill Pelosi tried to put abortion funding in hopefully both sides in the House and Senate will refrain from playing the usual games and stick to what is needed now.

40% of new US cases are now younger people going to ICUs and being hospitalized. Not just the older crowd.

Those idiots from that spring break video yesterday makes me furious. They don't give a **** about anyone but themselves.

The point of no return has already been hit based on the data from other countries as far as containment and flattening the curve. It may be months until myself..and many others are back at work at this rate and schools may be done for the year.

Sad how unprepared we are. Can't even imagine if this had a higher mortality rate...we would then be truly ******

An earlier response could have prevented deaths, but his conduct does not amount to manslaughter or murder. No one could seriously take him to court for this. At most maybe wrongful death. And at the end of the day, there is no way to determine how many people would have died if he acted earlier. Right now the number is low at 150.

Excellent, please elaborate on which ones are purely out of context.

Your kidding right 21 'quote' in about a minute. A better question would have been were ANY of them in context. I take this guy about a seriously as I would take Hannity in term of being objective. :D

Anyone who thinks Trump did not personally save their life is a fcking commie. How do you explain this closed CC footage?

I'm down in the Fort Myers area where they finally shut down the beaches. And that was a local decision, not statewide. While I've read of Massachusetts basically shutting down all social venues, here it's been mostly business as usual. Restaurants and bars operating, spring breakers doing what they do, and so on. The only hint of coronavirus has been depleted shelves in the grocery stores. My wife and I have been like hermits, hanging out by the pool or on the boat.

Trump also likely saved a lot of lives too by blocking flights from China and Europe. But that doesn't seem to ring a bell with you.
Blocking the flights were excellent moves towards containment. Gutting the response team that was developed due to awful responses to the last 2 outbreaks was not an excellent move, slowing reaction times and impacting the nation in every imaginable way. Compare and contrast the responses of nations that have dealt with a prior viral outbreak and have instituted measures against them, and those that have not and are without measures. We are clearly in the category of without measures, however we at one time had measures developed. As the measures were dissolved, we had experts who understood the subject matter, calling for them to be put back in place. The measures werent reinstated, and here we are. I know you shy away from numbers, calculations and most things scientific, so I will leave it here, at words.

Prove it. There are 150 dead so far in the US. How many of those deaths were caused by Trump? Are you living in fantasy land where if Trump had responded sooner than there would be 0 dead Americans?

You seem to live in some weird binary world where everything is always all or nothing.

Pretty clear he and others are pulling for China over Trump. The fact people are citing statistics about how effective China is compared to the US is ridiculous considering they started the whole thing.

This may just be the most disgraceful post I've read on this forum. Sir, please think long and hard before posting things like this.

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings

None of what you said is useful. It amounts to emotional outburst of emotional person who is unable to use logic to solve real problems.

I am using logic. Kids were already getting bullied before Trump called it the Chinese Virus. Kids were getting bullied before there was a Coronavirus. Kids were getting bullied in the 1800s. Kids were getting bullied during the time of Jesus. Kids will get bullied tomorrow. The virus came from China. It’s a Chinese Virus. That’s logic, bud.

You, on the other hand, are arguing on emotion. I love the hypothetical reasoning based on an appeal to emotion about the supposed Asian child getting bullied. That’s really to mask and hide the fact that you’re defending and siding with a country who caused this outbreak (as well as being well known for its many human rights abuses) over Donald Trump. You can’t outright say that you’re defending China here, because that would make you a pile of trash. So you use the hypothetical Asian child instead. But anyone with a brain sees right through that. Once again, your appeal to emotion falls flat and your counter argument gets taken apart with relative ease. Now, allow me to move on to insulting you...

Well then, his hands are clean then....the energy your brain uses to come up with these posts could probably equal the energy output of a small potato

His hands are clean from what? Calling a virus from China the “Chinese Virus?” Maybe if you’re a twink-shaped, overly empathetic (which no doubt comes from being a psychologist... a very feminine job) white “man,” you’d think that’s a crime. That seems to be the popular take for guys whose wives outweigh them by 50 lbs and can only handle missionary with the lights off. Dats you. Go have a glass of Merlot, catch “The Bachelor”, and stay salty over a random dude on the Internet making fun of you because you’re no stranger to getting bullied.

Subconsciously he is. Every time he brings up China he does so in a positive manor.

Subconsciously he's probably pissed that the US saw an inferno coming and called it a camp fire. "Get a bucket everybody". "Buckets? We don't have any buckets!!".
