Jules wants out?

Maybe he wants out, maybe he doesn’t, but it’s clear he wants to play with Brady. We all speculated that from the start when Brady left.

As much as I love Jules, he’s an 11 year vet who relies on quickness coming off an injury filled season (who showed grit by playing through it completely). While he’s on a cheap contract, that’s the type of guy BB would be interested in trading a year too soon rather than too late (especially if Jules actually is pouting). His cheap contract would help his trade value.

I don’t like it and have no clue who’d be playing receiver for this team that’s any good, but I would understand the thought process behind it.

Hmmmm...players don't want to play below market for biggest hardass coach in the league knowing they have no chance at a title? I'm totally shocked by this. All this time I thought fell in love with the lowball offers and Bob Kraft's charming fairy tales.

I
This is going to be a very interesting offseason .
The next domino to fall is Thuney.

Pats should trade him to Tampa. Everybody wins.
Hold the price firm at a 2nd round pick and make em squirm. Might not get it, but might ultimately get a pretty good offer.

We're under no obligation to trade him and he's worth a lot more to Tampa than any other team who has a short title window and wants to keep Tom happy.

He's going to be 34, and this is not a trade deadline deal.

So, while anything is possible, I don't see Edelman bringing back a 2nd round pick.

Yeah, they're going to get a young, talented rising star receiver for a 35 year-old who has now been badly injured 2 of the last 3 years.

Didn’t say it would happen. Questions was between the 2 and I’d take Godwin.

If Sanu can get a 2nd because he was under contract for multiple years at cheap money, so should Jules....... (2 years left on his deal)

edelperson is worth multiple first rounders if Sanu is worth a second

Trade him for a pick. I don't know how much it saves us in salary, but we might as well do it. On offense it's a rebuild, might as well commit to it. Roll with Sanu, Harry, Meyers, Byrd, and Dorsett.

I hate this. Hate. Hate. Hate.

Its a year early before I expected JE to be kicked to the curb.

Hopefully BB can find a way to get him to buy in for one more year.

If not....hes gone.

That’s a great point. Maybe the Pats let him be and stew since TB may balk at the price now. Then TB can reassess at the trade deadline and if they’re looking as good as we expect, may be willing to pull the trigger for that price at that point (see Sanu comparison).

Yeah, why not?

Probably worth it to just trade him and see what we can fetch from Tampa.
