The writing was on the wall for a long time on this one, but the decision to franchise Thuney and take up 15m in cap space sealed the deal. They don’t have any space to do a deal with Brady, especially now after the dead cap hit.

I'm sort of surprised at how rational I'm being about this.

Brady has been so great for so long, and is so old now, that I just sort of feel like there's nothing more we can ask from the guy.

Great organizations (NE, Balt, Pitt, NO) have relatively little cap space bc their rosters are put together to allow them to complete every year. Sh*tty teams also tend to have a few elite players bc their sh*ttiness allows them to draft in the top 10 most years.

It is lucky that being a whiney b*tch is not an independent risk factor for contracting COVID-19 because 85% of the Patsfans.com posters as currently constituted would have to live in an isolation bubble to protect themselves. The only reason to come to the site at this point is for the latest transaction news bc most of the discussions are insufferable. Currently, the site is mostly just a big “Brady is gone, how is life as a Pats fan worth living?” support group and, frankly, it’s pathetic to watch a prolonged first stage of the grieving process.
