Oh get off your effing high horse. Yes, I posted about a coup and immediately walked it back, edited my posts and later posted a mea culpa. It wasn't serious anyway, I'm not THAT much of an idiot. But a word of advice for you, my friend: tread very, very lightly with your "typical progressives" B.S. lest YOU be labeled something you might not want to see stick. For the record I'm no liberal, OK? What I am is an American angry as hell over an incompetent federal administration whose bungled approach to this crisis will cost more innocent lives than necessary. I have a courageous wife working overtime on the front lines of this fiasco in an acute care hospital ward. By extension I have a bigger stake in what's going on than you do, so pardon me for getting a tad on edge about it and using this place to blow off a little steam. So sorry if it tweaked your precious sensibilities. ;)
Thanks for the advice.

Here is mine.

If you keep up the constant bashing and crazy-ass statements, you will get unkind responses.

If you don't want them, temper your rhetoric.

Well, I can see this thread is going very well, so I think I'll keep my opinions to myself, @Tunescribe.

"Two lovely black eyes,
Oh what a surprise!
Only for telling a man 'e was wrong,
Two lovely black eyes."

There are three ways I'm aware of to "fast track" it. One is to not do as much safety testing, which is pretty scary.

The third way is to push computer modeling ahead of some of the traditional animal testing,

Note: I could very well be inaccurate or incomplete in this analysis.
You're inaccurate in that they are skipping animal trials and going straight to human trials.

TommyBrady12 volunteered to be the first human Guinea pig in the human trials starting this week.

You being such a magnanimous guy, what might help here is you appointing yourself board ombudsman. Then you can compile a list of prospective transgressions and where the "lines" shouldn't be crossed so it'll be handy for future reference. That sort of thing is very important on anonymous Internet message boards with so much at stake!
Gladly.

No more politics.

Post only COVID-19 related news.

Any political bashing/*****ing take it somewhere else.

We've all vented.

If we want to continue with political bashing- so be it.

We won’t need to shoot those idiots, hopefully. The virus will wipe them out. Same with lIbErAl aNd FrEe millennials who decided it was a great idea to buy a $200 plane ticket to Europe.
Wait, I thought you said you took advantage and bought tickets to Cali for like $300 for the wife and you. I hope it's for after the lockdown phase. Anyway bad time to travel anywhere period.

What are you talking about? You think any nation with nuclear weapons is going to use them on us if we sanction them? We've sanctioned Russia many times before, in case you haven't been following world politics, which it sounds as if you haven't. If the Chinese want a fair trade deal, then they will agree to monitor their own meat markets and if a pandemic occurs it will trigger certain clauses in the trade agreement.

The Russian sanctions are largely symbolic and generally work only because the Russian economy is entirely reliant on fossil fuel exploration and export. You can't really adequately sanction a country like China that's a net exporter; the rest of the world is just too reliant on Chinese trade.

This is a pointless conversation. We simply have no way to force China to do anything internally, just like China couldn't force the US to raise its minimum wage or something. And even if we had that sort of power we'd use it to make them recognize Taiwan or respect Hong Kong sovereign, not end trade in pangolins.

Or shoot the dumb.

I mean its Florida during spring break. A lot of college kids everywhere. A Palm Beach County commissioner told us Miami-Dade and Broward called in National Guard to close down the beaches. That means they'll be headed north to Boca/ WPB.

Joker, given that you have dealt with COPD and pneumonia recently, please get yourself some N-acetyl cysteine (NAC). That stuff could go a long way towards helping you if you get COVID, and in general.

FYI, I have 0 financial interest in anything Vitacost or NAC related; just wanna help out a forum buddy.

Thankyou for that. I hope the direction of this thread would continue like this. That is, living with corona until it subsides. Personally I'm tired of the Bad Trump/Good Trump fighting. We are where we are, not where we were. I think we're going in the right dierction now.

Tom Hanks and wife are over the virus. Australia has instituted treatments with chloroquine. an old anti-malarial, immunosuppressive drug and reporting a level of early success.

As far as the latest reports on a vaccine...one claims trials to begin with availability in a year.OK, then another, given by a woman MD in camouflage from Walter Reed states the drug they already have to combat Ebola looks like it's effective against corona. What's the truth? I'm a cynic. A few weeks back the US turned down help from Europe for epidemic supplies. Why? I think the military industrial complex is on top of this in THEIR own self interest. I feel the general population will be last on the totem pole when vaccine is made known.

as far as YOU, Patriot fan is concerned...stop the bullying and back biting. Respect others opinions and look to assist members in need with words of SUPPORT and SOLIDARITY. My 2 cents...and as one with COPD, recent pneumonia episodes, pleural effusion and congestive heart failure, I am doing my BEST to keep in good health and look to pass on ANY information I run across that may be of help to others. We have far too many extremely intelligent folks here who have been engaged in mud fights the past few weeks. We don't need any more mud slinging, we need solidarity and information to help our Pats fan community.

Thanks for staying engaged.

Stay safe man. I'll be praying for you in hopes this ends quickly and we can get back to slinging mud like the good old days (last week).

You might be right...after all, you are an expert in all things Communism. Your side is the one who constantly says we should sanction China over human rights violations.

China 'strongly urges' US to remove sanctions and stop accusing it of human rights violations

I think international politics is out of your realm TBH.

Uh so am I a supporter of China or a detractor? God this is so confusing!!

If there is another pandemic caused by a meat market, the US can get out of the deal. Moreover, you can impose sanctions.

I'm not sure what should be done but I hope something is done. This is bull shyt.

Or don't monitor the markets but stop shutting up the whistle blower to save face.

Since I gave Primetime the sads, I'll see if I can put a smile back on his face.

There needs to be a multilateral treaty that requires nations to share pandemic information and allow for experts from other countries to help out. Not only did China not tell us, they kept our experts from helping them. It's for everyone's good.
