It's as infuriating as the stream of lies coming from the White House, non-stop.

Trump again claimed the testing of H1N1 was terrible and caused a lot of deaths. A million people were tested within a month of the first identified case.

Trump claiming that the system was ready to handle testing. Utter ********. First, WHO offered the kits and were refused by one of 60 countries: ours.

Second, the first case identified in the US was someone in a flu trial and the docs in Seattle made their own test for Coronavirus, identified the disease in that patient...and were told that they weren't allowed to do that, so stop.

They screwed up over and over and over.

Yup. Officially closed through Fri 4/3. My kids all have the following week off for April break, so the earliest they could go back to school is Mon 4/13.

I would not be surprised if this gets extended to May. I suspect the infected will start showing symptoms en masse very soon.

We'll have to wait for the ***********-off to go through the truth filter to see what all this really means.

What I got:

1. They are working on getting test kits, when? I heard in a few weeks, in the near future;
2. There's a website that people can go to, fill out a questionnaire, and continue until you "pass" and then given an address to go to. Website not available yet;
3. Talked about mobile testing areas.

But when told, as of this morning people still can't get tested, a bunch of non answers or excuses. He actually tried to blame archaic rules and laws, as if he hasn't been in charge of the Gov. for over 3 years???

Conclusion. These guys put a bunch of people in a room to brainstorm and came out with a half baked sales job to calm the market.

Well after watching the hour long press conference (1st one I've watched) I feel better.

I know I won't be able to get tested any time soon (though have a dry cough in back of my throat and spent time with Clients that were in northern Italy in the past month), or eat anything of substance this weekend since there's no food left at Publix or Whole Foods, or be able to go anywhere, or do anything. At least the one stock I have left went up +0.58% today (even though its down 42% since January). Life is good.

Personally, I'm fine in that regard. I feel bad for the folks who can't work from home and have to scramble, chief amongst them the nurses and other healthcare workers who are in need. Also, if grandparents get recruited to help out with childcare, considering their risk profile I hope their grandchildren don't unwittingly introduce this bug to them.
