I think this thread is great and as someone said above, kudos to the mods for keeping it open.

We’re gonna go through some tough times in the next few weeks and any sense of community is important, even if it’s a bunch of weirdos on the internet that you don’t always agree with politically.

If we wanna do a big breakdown of what could have been done better after it's under control, that's fine but at this point I'm despising how certain entities are trying to change public perception of this with an eye towards polls and the stock market instead dedicating all energy working towards minimizing deaths.

One of our daughters-in-law works in an assessors office and some jerk last week coughed right in her face while she was trying to help him. She should have shot him.

Happens to me everyday at work I hate my job right now.
I checked a customer ID and As I bent over to check his he coughed on my head then as he was talking coughed about 3 more times with out covering his mouth and me not wanting to make a thing about it but I wanted to say seriously you jerk covering your fricking mouth.

You're a good poster, don't resort to shooting messengers and nonsensical tribal whining when ugly truths arise. This country is in a tailspin from gross mismanagement at the highest level and the administration STILL is misleading the public about coronavirus testing availability! Heaven forbid you fall sick and need to get tested. My wife is an RN at a 300-bed hospital and to date they have not received a single test kit. The government knew this was coming in early January and bungled it every step of the way. Hell, instead of defending incompetence you should be pissed at being let down! Yea always bothered by comments like that... its like "Its not a big deal, its only killing elderly and people with pre-existing conditions!"

There are people with pre-existing conditions that live otherwise normal, completely healthy lifestyles with good jobs and have another 50+ years of life ahead of them... but oh well, **** them they shouldn't have had that pre-existing condition AMIRITE!?

If i lost one of my parents or someone close to this and someone made comments like that, id probly end up in prison
