I was just kidding by the way. Twenty years of excellence makes it nearly impossible to pick which of anything is top five. So many great plays.
Lol it's ok you didn't hurt my feelings, it's true I didn't really care about football til 2006 so a lot of the first dynasty magic is lost on me. I think the first game I watched as a pats fan was the 2005 wildcard against Jacksonville. I jumped on the bandwagon just a little late

Last century I saw a Steve Grogan bomb to Stanley Morgan vs the Jests in NY in the late 1970s that was prettier than anything except for one or two passes from Bledsoe to Glenn, RIP, and Brady to Moss vs the Giants to go 16-0 in 2007.

I was watching that game at TGIF with my brother who had just moved back to Maine. Ben Coates was a beast in that game.

I'm a 2010 generation Pats fan, so the era of Coates is relatively unknown to me. I decided to watch some of his highlights the other day and I was astonished as to how big that dude was.

He's even billed to be smaller than Gronk (6'5 245lb vs. 6'6 260 or something), but he looked to be much larger than others on the field. It seems like the padding back then was far more bulky, so that might be it. I dunno. He just seemed big lol.

That 1996 team was a damn good team. Unfortunately it seemed to check out right before the big game. The Parcels drama.

The whole video is a good recap of that season but at 18:20 is still one of my favorite games. 23-22 win over the Giants.
