I still think we could have gotten more in return, but yeah, keeping Brady was the right move.Nice that this is the off season ....

For the record ... I was happy with the trade - it was the right choice.
We won a Super Bowl by keeping Brady ... that alone made it worth it.

He probably should have tried to, you know, score with over a minute left in the first half and a full compliment of timeouts.Saw this comment on PFT:
Kyle Shanahan teams in quarters 1-3 of Super Bowls outscored opponents 48-19.
Kyle Shanahan teams in 4th quarter/overtime of Super Bowls outscored by opponents 46-0.
You know how the Patriots were always saying "We've got Brady", describing their optimism when they were down in a game? I'll bet the Chiefs say the same. Jimmy G, not so much.Mahomes two interceptions were far more impactful that Jimmy's "two"
And debating which of the two is better was not what was being asked.
You're describing a journeyman, not a master.Anyone who claims that Garoppolo "choked the game away" tonight simply is wrong. He played well overall but certainly not well enough with the game on the line after the 49ers defense failed to hold. Still quite young in terms of experience, the jury's still out on what he has to offer.
One that absolutely broke the bank, no less. You're describing a journeyman, not a master.
I will say that I was shocked Andy Reid didn’t use his 1st timeout after that 1st down play and seeing how the 49ers were trying to kill the clock. You have Patrick Mahomes and the 9ers get the ball to start the 2nd half; why wouldn’t you try to get the ball back? Then I remembered it was Andy Reid.He probably should have tried to, you know, score with over a minute left in the first half and a full compliment of timeouts.

It happened to Gronk all the time. And that was a legitimate push off.Sure.
But the refs took 3 points off the board regardless on the most petty **** I ever seen. In a superbowl no less.
Everyone always says play above the refs but my experience here is if that **** happened to Brady and gronk its 10 years of excuses on how the NFL stole another ship from us.

That gives the Patriots an option should Brady leave. He ain’t Brady as we clearly saw last night, but with the right cast, coaching and proper system I think he could be good enough to win a Super Bowl at some point in his career. He just won’t carry the team to one like Brady can.OTC just tweeted that if the 49ers decided to cut Jimmy they would save 22.4 million on the cap and only have a dead money hit of less than 5 million.
Imagine if the offer Brady a contract? Would he go home? Although not really a fit for the Shanahan bootleg offense, the 49ers clearly have a much better roster than the Pats.
I seriously doubt Brady would go anywhere else, but SF calling would scare me if I am a Patriots fan.
I can’t debate logic this ironclad. You win.
I don’t think Tom would step on Jimmys Toes like that though.
