I didn't see one of these posted, so I thought I'd get one started. If I missed it, I'm sorry, and the mods are, of course, welcome to merge/delete.

If we keep brady, I'm app in in austin hooper.

That guy can slide in and give us 70% of what prime gronk gave us.

Money is an issue but if they can figure it out I think it solves a huge hole for us

Can Hooper block? If not, that figure is below 50% at most.

That being said, even the softest, blocking-averse TE in the league would have a spot on this roster if he could play as a big slot.

I really dont know that but he has all the offensive ability to work around that.

Maybe oj Howard would work too on the cheaper but I believe Hooper could flourish with brady.

Hooper said 4 days ago he hasnt been offered a contract by the Falcons yet so he may be available.

Chargers made the right decision to move on from Rivers. They should’ve cut the cord years ago as he’s been the problem for some time.

This could be big, bad news for the Pats. From the beginning, Brady to the Chargers has made too much sense to me. They need to fill seats more than they need to win games - I know, it sounds crazy. Out here in SoCal, land of splash, Tom Brady would fill seats. They will overpay for him.
It has to make sense from Brady's perspective. And it doesn't. A HC in Anthony Lynn, a perpetually injured team, and playing @ KC and @ Denver is far from ideal. He's not like most other free agents who will just follow the money.

Bad OL too, which is one of the biggest complaints about the Patriots. And then you have Keenan Allen who tears his ACL like every other year, maybe the Chargers aren't that good of a situation.

They've got the money to pay Brady. They've got some cap flexibility with regards to cuts. They've got the #6 pick in the draft. They've got what would seem to be an acceptable location.

Yeah, if Brady really wants to think about moving on, the Chargers would seem to be a team well worth him looking at, at least in terms of location and player personnel (both current and potential). Ownership and coaching might be an issue to him, though.

I would think they would go with drafting a QB in the 1st round, and a journey man backup. When the kid is up to speed, he starts, ala Daniel Jones. I can't imagine a rebuilding team signing Brady, and Brady wanting to go through a rebuild. He wants to go somewhere where he can win. The best option for that is the Pats. BUT, if he wants to maximize his paycheck, he will get 30 mill a year for 2 years, elsewhere.

A rookie in the draft won't fill seats out here. This is star-power country. It's not just about building an SB winning team, it's about coaxing people to go to the games. it's about buzz - everything out here is about buzz.

They've got the money. To Deus's point, I wouldn't be the least surprised if they promised to rebuild the team, coaches down to attendants, to Brady's liking. I don't think he wants to leave New England, but if it's respect he's after, they'll roll out a red carpet for him.

Why not both?

Damn. Alright then.

It certainly would fix alot of issues.
Hooper would be expensive but OJ would be still on his rookie deal and reasonable. It's financially possible.

Bottom line is if Tom leaves Stidham will need as many quality targets as possible. Heck so would Tom.

Two potential moves I kinda have a gut feeling on:

Rivers to Tampa.

Mariota to the Chargers.

I'd love for us to go after Hunter Henry, is a very good blocker as well as a target in the passing game as well. It will all depend on cap space that we have. Also would you rather spend 8 to 10m of cap space on a TE than WR. Depending on who we go after

Supposedly Giselle hates LA.

Rivers to Tampa or Miami ok, seems like he's already moving to Florida.

Mariota though? He isnt starting anywhere unless injuries happen, the guy is a bust, a terrible QB.
