The Ravens

We can run on the Ravens, especially around the edges. If we establish the run the play-action is there.

Thomas gambles a lot in the middle, and Peters can be had too.

I think we'll fare offensively a lot better.

Maybe Reid won't care whether he's 3 or 4 and rest also (which they could still win with Matt Moore).
It's an interesting question.

Perhaps I'll pose that question to Queefs Planet.

I don’t think you can slow that Ravens offense unless you can get them into obvious passing situations. The RPO out of 3 and 3,3rd and 4 is a gimme with a triggerman like Jackson. If you can get them into 3rd and 7+, I wonder if we see Gilmore on Andrews.

By the end of Q1 the defense started to figure it out. KC is more of a threat.

Sorry but the box score doesn't reflect that. Ravens scored 10 in the first quarter, 27 in the rest.

They scored the most in the 4th quarter.

Our fate in the playoffs lies on the offense. I expect the defense to keep us in games but the offense will have to score points.

Well 7 was on the offense in fairness. Ingram is arguably our biggest challenge.

The Ravens scored at the beginning of the 2nd Q to make it 17-0, so they scored 17 in less than the first 16 minutes.

The Ravens then scored 20 in the second half, 7 of which came on Edelman's fumble, which was the biggest play of the game. So the D only gave up 13 in the second half, all in the 4th Q.

I think the Pats were holding back on schemes and are getting better on offense. The Ravens won't see the same team if the teams meet in the AFC Championship.

Still, I'd rather play the Chiefs than the Ravens.

Sorry but the Ravens scored 17 points on their first three drives. The second TD was "technically" scored in Q2 but the drive was run Q1.

Also, their was the Edelman fumble TD....which was not technically scored by their offense because the defense technically was on the field and scored it.

The had two scoring drives with the final one helped by a very generous hands to the face penalty.

Technically, speaking.

The overall impression of the game was a well rested Baltimore team coming off the bye playing a tired Pats team that made unusual mistakes (the offsides on the first drive FG attempt that was converted into a TD).

If the Patriots don't play well they will lose but there is nothing to overly fear either.

I just don't see anyone in the AFC beating them in their building. I know a lot said that about the Chiefs last year and Mahomes is mobile..but nothing like that duo if Ingram and Jackson and Ravens D is much better than that Chiefs D. Hope I am wrong

After a combination of watching games and highlights, I've reached two conclusions about this team outside of the more obvious things: a) Andrews will be a huge problem if we face them again and b) most of Jackson's TD throws seem to be wide open guys running up the seams, which means we really must somehow force him to throw to the outside where our secondary strength lays. Again, this is all assuming we meet them again.

No offense but so do I.

Great news: we’re likely going to need to beat both KC and Balt If we want to go to the Super Bowl for a rematch with Seattle.

Seattle? all of these may not com true. The Ravens reminds me of the Patriots team that lost to the Jets in the playoffs. They will get the Texans and the Texans will beat them.

Ingram's MRI is today. I'm sure the Ratbirds will be all cloak n dagger about it (as they should) bu if its grade 3 strain he will be rendered useless for the foreseeable future..

I was at the Sunday night Baltimore game.

If Watson would have caught the pass the play before the the Thomas INT, I have no doubt we would have won.

Hmmm, I feel the opposite. KC doesn't scare as much as Baltimore does. Patriots win that KC game if not for the refs.
