I haven't posted much this season, but I gotta say that despite many to saying otherwise, I think Brady is definitely on the decline. He is far from the biggest problem on this offense, but I am definitely seeing a definite and pronounced decline in his passing accuracy.
The biggest fallacy is that when a QB starts to lose his arm strength that he starts throwing ducks ala Peyton Manning. Typically, they can still throw down the field with a lot of velocity, but it is their accuracy that goes. Many times, they consistently overthrow receivers down the field because they put too much heat on the ball to overcompensate for their loss of strength.
I know he injured his elbow last week, but I have been seeing this all season. Not just the last few weeks. It has been more pronounced today though.
If Brady is here next year, the Pats are going to have to retool the offense to compensate for his skill set.
Again, I still believe the o-line, lack of TEs, WRs unable to get separation at times, and drops are bigger issues than Brady at this point. But Brady has had worse around him (see 2006) and been able to perform better. A younger Brady could have made this offense at least average.
