Pretty nice of them to track Bradys Stats.
Hopefully Tom, randy and the WRs stay healthy as they can easily destroy
this and many other records this year.
For what its worth, hopefully we get the 6 TD week against INDY.
:rocker:

Wow, Manning really caught fire from weeks 7-11 scoring the following through those weeks in weekly order: 5,4,5,4,6.

Yes, and in week 14 he had 1, 15, he had 2, and 16, he didn't play.

But, he is pretty concerned about stats

The best "hope", if you are looking for the record, is to have to fight for homefield the last 2-3 weeks.

IIRC, his best 6 game stretch was 27td's.

And they were against teams that had poor records, KC (7 wins), Minn (8), Houston (7), Chicago (5) and Detriot (6). And those teams ranked as follows for passing yards / passing tds allowed. KC (32/ 31) Minn (29/27) Houston (24/31) Chicago (15/17) Detroit (20/25).

But, Indy actually lost the KC game, as they were down 31-14 at the half, and Peyton threw for almost 500 yards trying to come back. Have to give it to Peyton, he feasted on the weaker teams, almost a killer instinct.

27 TD's in 6 weeks for Manning? That's unreal.

Yes, this is really funny. All I was doing was giving the original poster some historical data, and indicated that 27 td's was his best 6 game stretch, which was quite remarkable.

Now, if you want to argue that the Jets(27), Bills(31), Browns(29), and Bengals(28) are defensive juggarnauts, go right ahead

And before you get going, don't forget that by removing the stats from the games played versus NE, these teams are STILL BAD. In other words, NE is doing to these teams what every other team in the NFL is doing to them.

And Peyton did the same in '04. Peyton had his hottest streak against the weaker teams. Tom has had a similar hot streak against the weaker teams. Whether this is Tom's hottest streak is still to be seen.

True, but THREE of the FIVE teams you cited were all BETTER than the bottom FOUR you have faced. So the competition, while not top notch, was statistically quite a bit better than waht NE has faced.

Don't forget, the Chicago game was AWAY, OUTDOORS, in that cold, cold weather that Manning despises

The Lions were also away, on Turkey Day. If you have been around long enough, you have probably witnessed a Lion game or two on Turkey Day, where they had no business being in the game, but end up winning. Point, Lions generally show up on Turkey Day.

The KC game, where was that?? Outdoors? In one of the more difficult (loudest) venues to play??

HBM, not going to debate particular games in different seasons. You can't compare. My only point was and still is, Peyton had his best stats against the weakest teams they played that year. Tom has played weak teams this year, ex Dallas, but we don't know what the rest of the season will bring.

NP, then don't bring it up. Bottom line is that FOUR of the SIX Brady faced were absolutely THE WEAKEST. FOUR OF THE BOTTOM SIX. And you want to complain about the #15 Bears on the road?? Manning's were "weaker", but no where NEAR your WEAKEST!!!

27,28,29, and 31!!!!!! WEAKEST!!!!! FOUR OF THEM!!!!! TWO THIRDS OF YOUR TOTAL!!!!!!!!THEY WERE WEAK BEFORE NE PLAYED THEM, AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE WEAK ALL FRIGGIN' YEAR!!

The WIN TOTAL of 3 OF THOSE TEAMS IS THREE!! AND IN THE CASE OF JETS/BILLS, well, someone had to win

Bills(1)
Jets(1)
Bengals(1)

Sorry, caps lock stuck, I spit coffee on my keyboard reading your post(s)

Kidding. Seemed like digs to me, but cool. Difficult to play a top ten pass defense every week, right? BTW, did you see PM light up the Donks last season, on the road, with half the field taken away by Champ?

Well, I for one don't really care about the passing TD thing. Let PM have that record. I'll settle for just one win...

in February.

i could care less about the record. as long as we stay healthy and win enough games to get homefield adv throught- the first part of objective is achieved for me .

Good find man! Thanks I was looking for similar comparison before!

The one thing that stands out, is that Brady is a lot more consistant with his touchdowns. 3+ every week, Neither Manning or Marino were that good! Makes me happy of course!

What is your point about weak opponents? Brady had (the most) 5 TDs against our strongest opponent. And PM always lights up the Donks, just a bad match up for the Donks

Great point. Did you know that in '04, PM went 8 straight games with 3+ td's?

Brady has an excellent shot as being as consistent as PM was that season!

Come on now, you don't know HBM's point by now.....Peyton's better. Never compare anything Tom does, because HBM will find some stat that says Peyton's better......except of course 3>1. Never question anything Peyton did, because HBM will come back with some rationale.......

i would be more happy if we score 3 rushing TD's. Will be more gratifying to see that we can win in other ways as well.

It's a lot easier to set passing records if you have a weak defense. You're not playing with big leads as much.
