Some of these guys like Ward and Wayne should not be on any of these lists beyond top 25.

Willis and Wayne will get in but not as first ballot, Willis because he left the game young and Wayne because receivers always get backed up. Faneca, Holt, and Lynch belong as well, but otherwise it's a pretty weak group. Tasker belongs but will never make it, though if he's ever going to, it would be this year.

I love Atwater. He was an animal if you never watched him. Lynch as well. Lynch was versatile as hell & could play so many spots.

That said Rodney blows them away in terms of stats & has multiple rings. Impact player on 2 teams. Easily

I love Holt. That dude was amazing & one of the best rr I've seen. I'd go Faneca & Holt over Atwater.

Carnell Lake, LeRoy Butler, and Merton Hanks have as many or more All Pro selections as Rodney did, and neither's even a consideration. Think Rodney's NFL career is a bit overrated by Patriots fans, even if he was great for us.

I disagree on Rodney being over rated. He was a game changing enforcer that made QBs & WRs think twice about throwing over the middle. He was phenomenal in both the run & pass. I think the issue is that he had a reputation of being a dirty player for the big hits & the HGH suspension.

I think your take says the complete opposite Rodney was underrated. Despite playing better than (See above stats by @BaconGrundleCandy) or at least equal to the guys you mentioned he did not get the pro bowl and all pro love. This would signal he was underrated.

He might have been a bit overrated here but very underrated nationally?

His stats are insane when compared w other all-time greats. You could make a case he's a top 5-10 S pretty easy.

Also Brian Dawkins was a BEAST! Check out his stats! He was ALWAYS around the ball. Breaking up pass or making plays behind the los.

When you consider everything. Stats, winning/rings (went to SB w SDC) impact on the game, longevity etc... He's right there w almost anyone. So is Dawkins imo. That guy just made plays every game & his #'s back it up.

I think both have very strong cases for top 10, maybe top 5 all-time. Tough as hell. Versatile & playmakers. You hated them if they weren't wearing your teams colors but loved them to death when they were.

The 10 senior members will be interesting. I think those ten should include Stanley Morgan, Ken Anderson, Cliff Branch, Roger Craig, LC Greenwood, Lester Hayes, Harold Jackson, Ed Too Tall Jones and probably a few other snubs I'm forgetting.

From the modern players I'd take Seymour, Polamalu, Zach Thomas, Atwater and Patrick Willis. I'd love an all defensive team to balance out all the offensive players taken over the past few decades.

Michael Irvin, who I generally like, always says "we have to do something about this log jam at receivers going into the hall", I agree but not in the way that he would like. Reggie Wayne and Torry Holt were the second receivers on their teams. Sorry but I wouldn't take them. I've advocated for Art Monk in the past because he was almost like a TE in that offense and did so much dirty work and won 3 titles. I cannot stand Ward the person but he was Art Monk in that offense, won two title and was a SB MVP. If you let Monk and Ward in then additionally from a selfish aspect Edelman is getting in for all the same reasons. Holt and Wayne never did those things.

Tasker is interesting in that if he gets in Mathew Slater should one day get in.

Wayne played almost a decade after Marvin Harrison retired and he was the de facto WR1 by 2006 or so anyways. Holt was the WR1 for St Louis for all but his rookie year. If there's an argument against Holt, it's longevity. There really isn't an argument against Wayne.
