MNF: Never-Mores vs. Bo Peeps

Goff is freaking terrible. I've never seen a QB get carried by a system so hard before. He cant do anything without Mcvay talking in his ear the whole time.

A QB who doesn't make his own reads is hard to respect.

6-5 isn't that bad.

In the NFC it is, Rams are pretty much done unless the Seahawks or Vikings have a complete meltdown and I don't see that happening.

6-5 isn't that bad.

They might have a good Record but will be the odd Team out in the NFC. A Team that was in the SB the year before.

All those "McVay is the next great coaching mastermind" takes from last year really aren't aging well.
Some said he passed Bill lol

Everyone knows McVay talks as much as he can into Goff's ears until the 15 second cutoff, then the defense simply changes their call after the cutoff.

It is in the NFC....

The only 6-5/5-6 team with a shot is Philly ....only because they play in the NFCE. The 2nd place teams in the NFCN AND NFCW aren't gonna be worse than 11-5.

Whose 42 and leaving us after this year. Jackson is 22 years old about to walk away with an MVP. We drafted plodder Sony instead

Who says Brady is leaving after this year ? These rumors are really bugging me, no one knows what will happen and I refuse to believe it will happen. Maybe that is the optimist in me .

Everyone knows now after Belichick showed them.

I'm just thinking of the 2001 Patriots, who were 5-5 and stopped losing after that.

My son just looked up and said, hey Lamar Jackson looks different.

I said yeah that’s him in 2 years.

Anything but tw0-gapping. That was a big mistake. We are not sitting around and reacting because you can't out-option a option-read offense.

One other thing I think we might do is make our DE or edge guy a decoy read or he does something completely different so LJ can't option off him.

Might have to disguise CB blitzes to help stop Lamar getting to him early is the key. Don't know how that Charger D did it last year. But the Ravens are different and more effective with him this year.

We won a superbowl.

“The Rams have to figure Jared Goff out because they’re stuck with him”

Booger with a moment of clarity.

Everyone talking about LJ, but in the meantime their D has only allowed 13 ppg in last 6 incl. this one.

Going to need a shoot out to beat these guys. Can this Patriots offense score 30+ on their D. Idk.

Speaking of 2001, does anyone else remember the Broncos game where Brady threw 4 straight picks in the 4th quarter? I was clamoring so hard for Bledsoe after that game

No 2 gapping has to be a part of it. One failing opens up too many running lanes against a good OL. You beat an option with gap discipline. 2 players assigned to each gap improves gap discipline.
The main point though is you have to mix it up. You cannot go toe to toe with a very good ol 3 TEs and a running QB.
The offense chooses who they option off of by the blocking scheme. They don’t block the man they option off of, so the d can’t choose who that is or disguise it
