With our running backs banged up the way they are, what do you all think about the possibility of talking Curtis Martin out of retirement and returning to the Pats? Think about it.

1. It'd give us a little more depth and I still think that Curtis can run.

2. Curtis will finally get his ring.

3. It's another F' you to the Jets.

4. I know it doesn't matter THAT much, but it would sell a lot more jerseys.

Thoughts? Comments? Am I out of my mind even thinking this?

he cant run. his knee was killed. hes done

tiki barber would be able to though

are you gonna help him onto the field? if not then Id say no it aint happening
plus he is about to become part owner of the Falcons which means he can not play while he owns any part of any team

No man, give Jim Brown a call. He's not doing any acting lately and he's probably chomping at the bit to get out on the field.

Curtis will be lucky to walk in a few years.

I saw a clip of Tiki on Jon Stewart the other day. He came out and Stewart said, "You should be a lot bigger than me." Tiki said, "I am, where it counts." Hahahaha. Apparently he didn't mean it THAT way, but still.

I think his cane would violate the NFL's uniform policy.

heck no, even if he was healthy. I respect his accomplishments, but im still bitter at how he left with tuna.

Even if he did come out of retirement, the Jets would still hold options on him. Would you like to provide us with a draft pick compensation for the rights to a hobbled Curtis Martin?

. . . I didn't think so.

In case your forgot, there's too much bad blood to this day between Curtis and the Pats. No way he comes back here based on your "reasonings."

Maybe Antoine is free...

What about Ricky...you have to get his head out of the chip bowl though...

How about Dillon....hmmmm...maybe?

Careful not to bite yr tongue.

Nah - let's just dig up Red Grange... he's probably got a few more games left in him...

I was interviewing George Halas and I asked him who is the greatest running back he ever saw. He said, 'That would be Red Grange.'

And I asked him if Grange was playing today, how many yards do you think he'd gain. And he said, 'About 750, maybe 800 yards.' And I said, 'Well, 800 yards is just okay.'

He sat up in his chair and he said, 'Son, you must remember one thing. Red Grange is 75 years old,'" says Chris Berman on ESPN Classic's SportsCentury series.

i personally think we should bring back OJ...

hell, he needs SOME way to get out of trouble...

(irony)

Ok ok. Bad idea.

NEVER admit defeat, Chris.

COUNTERATTACK!!!! GO GO GO!!

At 71...I am sure THAT would be interesting...I loved to see him play..and to think he retired at 30...WOW!!! Always a fave of mine...
