Like all true patriots fans..I love Gronk. Hope he stays retired. But wish he could retire with a little bit more grace and dignity. This snake oil salesman, huckster, constantly shilling and using the false hope of trying to get fans to believe he might unretire is not cool.

Seriously? I could see that perspective for a CEO, or Doctor, or Singer but a professional football player whose body had been ravaged and required MANY surgeries? A guy who has had multiple concussions in an era where we understand how devastating the long term effects of them are? Come on man.

Injuries are apparently the rationale for Gronk retiring. The point stands that it’s a common thread among sports reporters particularly, and a lot of fans, that the goal is to “retire on top.” As you can see with Brady, I think the goal should be to play as long as you can.

One thing that just occurred to me:

If Gronk has been taking the CBD he's been promoting, wouldn't he likely fail an NFL drug screen? Wouldn't that effectively eliminate any likelihood that he'd even consider coming back, let alone that he'd be allowed to play if he did?

It's one thing to say that an announcement is coming on Tuesday and not be related to coming back. That's fine. But posting this would make a comeback the only realistic thing to expect. If it's not, then he's being really lame.
