all this is fine. two things i dont understand

a)when he talks about all the people crowing the pats, isnt it the media themselves ?
b)when the script was flipped in 2004 and everyone was picking the colts when the pats were the defending champs after we had beaten them in the opening game , where were these guys ? At that time manning was unstoppable and was going to blow away everyone etc etc.

Colts may very well be better, i am not getting into the debate but iam quite sure if this was the other way around, people wouldnt mind writing these articles. just my 2 cents

"What is also being ignored is that the Colts are a better team than they were a year ago. The NFL has become a game of speed and the Colts are quicker and faster than the Patriots overall. In fact, Patriots coach Bill Belichick rebuilt his receiving corps based on how explosive the Colts have been. Belichick knew he needed a ton more speed in order to compete with the Colts and that's why he traded for Moss and Wes Welker and signed Donte' Stallworth. So far, it's worked to perfection."

Since when is the Colts offense this year faster than the Patriots? Meanwhile the Colts defense stinks as usual and the lack of offensive production by the Colts opponents to date overall has been nothing sort of miserable.

Bill Belichick rebuilt his receiving corps based upon the lack of talent on last year's squad. The speed issue in incidental. Meanwhile, the football pundits were stating prior to the 2007 NFL season that Randy Moss "lost a step".

I tip my hat to the Colts. The last 6 weeks have been great, but until we can figure out a way to beat Indy I'm not getting too excited.

What does bother me is that the "Colts are better than they were a year ago" mantra has degenerated into the biggest (and one of the worst) examples of group think I've ever seen. Every mediot is saying it, yet they never really have much in the way of actual facts to back up what they're saying.

The Colts may indeed be better. But I also think they've benefited from a soft schedule...or at least one that's softer than ours.
