BB better hope he doesn’t get back to the Josh of last year before going off the tracks .....all analysts are now saying he has been injured since last preseason game and is now relatively healthy....according to BB he is 100% healthy and passed physical.....Gordon is elite WR when healthy and this could come back to bite!!! But...in BB we trust!
he hasn't been elite in a long time..people still living in the past.

If you mean this year so far...he’s been playing injured...so there’s that...thanks

Wonder how long it will take gordon to enter Russell Wilson's "circle of trust"...
Probably as fast as Sanders with Jimmy G. This after 9 days, GD!

On the field, Josh Gordon is Chris Hogan of last year.

Sanu and Sanders both played 5 days after being traded, with similar but better results for Sanders (w/TD).

Then Sanders went off 4 days later.

We can only hope with a full addt'l week Sanu has developed enough chemistry with Brady for similar results. Hopefully.

Gordon was healthy last year and good but far from elite. Gordon was healthy this year and average. This isn’t the loss some are making it out to be.

why would you say that?
Lemmesplain

See, the Patriots had Gordon. He was on the team. Then they —the Patriots — suddenly put him — Gordon — on minor injury IR with the apparent intent of releasing him which they did. Meanwhile while that was going on N’keal Harry was getting ready to come off the IR so there was speculation that Gordon was released because Harry was coming back and looking good. At the same time, this website — patsfans.com — also had a thread about how the Pats should have drafted Metcalf instead of Harry. So — and here’s the genesis of my post — I thought it was funny that Gordon ended up on the team THAT HAS METCALF. Cuz if you combine all the logic surrounding the discussion on patsfans, com on Gordon, Harry and Metcalf and pretend it’s was the other way around — that Seattle had released Gordon and the Patriots had signed him — at least one poster and probably more on patsfans.com would have said “the Patriots have obviously lost confidence in Harry.” So I turned that around on Metcalf. A funny twist you see.

I still can’t decide if my comment was irony or satire, or maybe commentary on internet commentary, but in the end it was mostly just my sense of humor.

Josh Gordon was released by the most successful franchise of the decade, one that could use a good WR. And this was cause for concern because the Patriots now might have had to eventually play against Gordon?
Wow...

I hate this crap. You won’t let injured players discuss why their performance is down, so why blast a player anonymously on his way out? To forestall talk radio second guessers? It’s stuff the Red Sox have made a habit of, and it really serves no purpose.

I am not sure you know what "anonymously" means. Lombardis name is right on his tweet. It doesn't take a genius to see that Gordon really only had consistent contributions on intermediate/deep sideline routes and slants.

He was a good contested catch option but generally this is not where the Pats offense feels at home.

Yes, and Lombardi has been saying it since before Gordon's release. This isn't a great example of trashing someone just because they were shown the door.

teams have realized than Gordon is a JAG

Sanu Sanders
If Sanders is born again to his 2014-16 form, as in Moss to NE?
Sanders. He was at about half that production.

Other than that, I prefer Sanu:
Sanu 6' 2" 210 lbs 8/22/89 (30) '19: $3,529,412 '20: $6,500,000
Sanders 5' 11" 180 lbs 3/17/87 (32) '19: $5,970,588 '20: UFA off Achilles tear

2019 before deals:
REC TGTS YDS AVG TD FD LNG
33 42 313 9.5 1 16 28 Sanu
30 44 367 12.2 2 17 53 Sanders

2019 3rd-4th Down
Tot 3rd 4th
R Y R Y R Y
Sanu 20 244 16 202 4 30
Sanders 4 38 4 38 0 0

I'm sure Gordon is Jacked & Pumped (TM) to be with the SeaHags. Seriously, I think he'll fit in better with Petey's style of coaching as a player. I hope that the atmosphere relaxes Josh such that the demons driving him don't again take over. Sadly, odds are not good in doobie city.

the fact that the seahawks were the only team to put a claim in for Gordon is a red flag....think about the wide receiver needy teams like the Eagles, or the packers.

I was against this move. But, when it came out that Gordon was missing practices, not putting in the work and coaches couldnt locate him at times...well those are not good signs. The patriots know the signs of what happened last year before his suspension.

add that in with him not really producing and they figured Harry could provide about 20 catches for 300 yards

I'm not sure JAG is the correct term for Gordon.

If it weren't for missed meetings, past issues, risk of suspension, and overall poor attitude, teams would be fighting for him at this salary even considering recent production.
