LB was tough. 3 out of the below 5 only.

Bruschi
Collins
Mayo
Hightower
Van Noy

Went Bru, HT and KVN.

Mayo is almost a tragedy of a career. Arrived stayed exactly through the dry spell and then got robbed of winning multiple ones post 2014 by his injuries. Love him and I wish there was space for him despite it all.

Collins is a beast but the way he left the first time left a bad taste.

QB - Brady
RB - Faulk
RB - White
RB - Dillon
FB - Develin
TE - Gronkowski
TE - Watson
WR - Edelman
WR - Moss
WR - Welker
WR - Brown
T - Light
T - Vollmer
T - Cannon
G - Mankins
G - Thuney
G - Mason
C - Koppen

DL - Seymour
DL - Wilfork
DL - Flowers
Edge - McGinest
Edge - Vrabel
Edge - Ninkovich
LB - Hightower
LB - Bruschi
LB - Mayo
CB - Law
CB - Gilmore
CB - Revis
S - Harrison
S - McCourty
S - Chung

K - Gostkowski
P - Allen
KR - Branch
KR - Lewis
PR - Amendola
ST - Slater
ST - Izzo

Notes:

Used both KR and PR on players that I really wanted (Branch, Amendola, Lewis) but just missed out on their position. Edelman is obviously a better PR than Amendola and Patterson better than Branch or Lewis.

Ninkovich may not be a popular pick, but I just like him and think of him as a Patriot moreso than some other objectively more skilled players. He was a team first player and had many clutch plays. Same with Flowers...a lot of critical clutch plays.

Toughest decision was Revis vs. Butler for CB3. Revis only played one year, and Butler had the greatest play, but I still went with Revis, who was the #1 best CB in the league. Could be convinced to change that one, as it kind of contradicts my last point.

Gostkowski over Vinatieri is also a tough call, so I’m just going on bias as a tiebreaker. Gostkowski is a lifelong Patriot and has been tremendous. Vinatieri can make the Colts team.
Question while looking at your list.
Should zero rings be a disqualification?

2 decades? Hard for me to pick someone who's been on the team only a few years or less.
Agree, I did not include Revis. Although I admit I put in Trent Brown. I thought he was that good.

This really needs to be done 4 yrs from now. The first part of the dynasty alot of the players had longevity. I went ty Warren versus flowers. I went Blount versus Dillon. But to each their own

.... Deion Branch is the best Patriots WR of the dynasty. He cannot/should not be left off of anyone's list. I know that he was not great in Seattle, but he was in sync with Brady for a slew of 15 yard gains like no other.

The criteria is somewhat subjective, and a lot of close calls are going to be based on how you feel about the player. Branch will get penalized by many for the holdout/trade in 2006, and there are a lot of very good WRs. But people forget how dominant Branch was for a few years.

Interesting you chose Thuney over Neal

Yeah, that was a very tough call. Neal was steady/good for years. Maybe some recency bias here; I think Thuney in 2018 was a big reason for winning the SB.

IMO Neal is no less of a talent then Thuney....and he played twice as long. However you have a point about the SB.

James White is one of the most underrated players I’ve ever seen. No idea why this guys is never mentioned when talking about great offensive players in the league. I’m not saying he’s as valuable as Julio Jones, but this dude moves the needle.

Does anyone have a list of how many rings each player has? It might be helpful in this thread

I think he has surpassed Faulk.

How crazy would it be if the 2020s wind up in the conversation, if Brady does play till 45 (19-22) the early 20s could be apart of the convo but god f*cking damn we need a answer at QB Stidham looked good in preseason but I don't think he's it and I hope we don't go the Broncos route of thinking with a full team we can just plug any QB in its just Stidham really turned me off when given a chance in garbage time, not saying he's a bust but...

Big shoes to fill. Faulk’s longevity and still playing at a high level for so long is remarkable. But White is quite a marvel too. He certainly owns the greater signature game/moment, and he is better a receiver, absolutely phenomenal at being in the right spot and catching tough passes (Faulk was more of a dump off, classic catch and run receiver.). I think Faulk was a better straight runner too. In terms of better in their prime, very very close.

No Hernandez. Have some respect for the dead, ffs.

Faulk was absolutely a better runner but white has been a bigger part of championships.

it’s a tough call but I’d go with white. FYI white has more post season receptions in 11 games than Faulk had in 19.

James White is awesome...but IMO he's not in the same league with Kamara and others similar...

It's possible White would have similar rushing yards if given the opportunity

In some of the decisions it has to be.

They are all just lucky BB never decided to play Troy Brown at linebacker. ;)
