The league has a real problem on its hands. What does it expect? If you can ruin someone’s career just by filing a civil suit then we are going to see a hell of a lot more cash grabs. It’s going to be “if you don’t pay this I’ll file a lawsuit that say this”. The nfl just put a huge target on every players back by mishandling the ab situation. This is the very reason due process is necessary.

This is very similar to the AB case (civil suit) with the exception that here, there is apparently a police report for one of the incidents. Will NFL treat this the same way? Will Oakland release or suspend him? AB wants to know.

Actually, civil suits can only be filed against NFL players whose last name is Brown.
