RUMOR? Patriots interest in AJ Green?

So reports say Green and Diggs when in reality we will trade a 2nd for some converted safety from some small division 3 school who is never activated and lives in folklore for 2 weeks til he's realeased.

As "sexy" as it sounds to trade for one of those two, if Dante says to Bill, "I can't fix this internally" then a trade for O-Line is a bigger need than WR or TE.

Green is amazing, Odell is amazing, Diggs woul be awesome. But if you are goind to bring a player like this at least go for the non injury prone ones. Dude is recovering since July (they were expecting a 6 week recovery) ... i would not trade for any player like this. I would give up more for OJ Howard. Cheap. Young. He is not a FA next year and will not damage our cap (hits of 2M+ and 3M). Give a 3rd for Howard and a 5th and let's go.

I think we can have Cameron Brate for much less I think he's way under-utilized and would be a decent Patriot. That said I'm all in on O.J. Howard.

I'm also interested in becoming a billionaire

I'll keep an open mind, but AJ Green has always struck me as a talented WR who doesn't have the "it" factor that wins tough games. Then again, hard to judge anyone in earnest when they play for the Bungles.

Sorry, didn't realize there was an AJ Green thread already...

Idk about giving up a 1st for a 31yr old WR who is on his last year of a deal who has injury history.

La Confora

So Pats aren't interested

UH OH, here come the "Great, Another thread about" Police ...

Get TB some protection, and he may work out well here..
But the injury thing is a concern

I'd prefer Diggs based on age but Green could be Moss 2.0 I love AJs game have since he's come in the league.
Maybe some TB12 can extend his career.

AJ Green very unrealistic for the Pats move along there is nothing here to see.

I can’t see 2007 Moss. Would’ve loved to have Green a few years back though.

My biggest problem is his injuries, not good for a wide receiver.

I’ve finally figured it out: La Confora’s sources are PatsFans.com threads (before they get merged into the big trade speculation thread)

We get Harry back? I might take that bet. I think Wynn and Develin are coming back, and the Pats can only activate TWO from the IR list.

Develin suffered a neck injury that was bad enough to put him on IR. He isn't resting off turf toe or healing a sprained ankle, neck stuff is really serious, and they would have left him on the roster if they thought he'd recover in time to play. He almost certainly won't be back this year, and any time you see IR (Neck) you should wonder if that player's career is in jeopardy.

I’ll bet anyone any amount of money that, unless there’s another report from a trusted source, Green doesn’t go anywhere, and JLC doubles down that his report was accurate but they couldn’t agree on trade terms. That’s his MO.

Shill for agents.

Well, he made the play to give cincy the lead against Pitt in the playoffs. But then hill fumbled when icing the game and burfict and Pac-Man put the Steelers in fg range.
