In the Jets celebration video from the previous week, I never spotted Rex, Bolden, Brady or Edelman. If I watch it again, I’m probably going to find even more guys missing!! I’m assuming they are all goooooone!!! They’re obviously discontent, or malcontents, or something equally suspicious.

Good advice. I am thinking and hoping that it’s a kid issue. But I am an extrovert and she is an introvert and as much as we like it when I’m up her ass, it can be tough.

My girl’s dad goes to stay at her house or vice versa versa on the weekends. On Sunday night, they go their separate ways and maybe go out to dinner or something a couple of nights out of the week. Works out very well for them, actually.

If this doesn’t work out for you, there is always JDate.

That’s pretty much exactly what we do now and used to do before we moved in. She stays over some weekends and we go out to eat a couple times a week. We’re only five minutes from each other, which helps.

We had a good talk the other night (while drunk as I dropped $300 on dinner) where we agreed that this just may have to be the way it works and it could be OK. It’s a bummer not to have a “normal” relationship but I’m not normal so I guess it makes sense.

Thanks to you and Chris for this kind of feedback. Makes me feel more hopeful.

I am serious. My dad said that it's obvious that BB wants him gone. Not much talent on offense and a weak offensive line. I thought he was crazy when he said that to me but I thought about it and it makes sense. BB doesn't need Brady to win. He is proving it one game at a time. When he gets rid of him we won't even notice.

That meshes well with the $9M raise Brady got before the season, bringing his total to $27M, and letting go of Hoyer

Sorry but your post is absurdly crazy and makes no logical sense. Also, who won’t notice when Belichick “gets rid of” Brady? You and your dad? I have a sneaking suspicion that others may notice that the most decorated player in NFL history is gone.

You realize Belichick did initially sign Antonio Brown right? Was that to keep up appearances that he wanted the offense to succeed? What a sneaky plan.

IMHO, having some space into which the introvert can retreat will actually make it easier for her to move towards you when she wants to engage. She'll be more available to you. Caging an introvert with extroverts is the best way to shut them down.

What would happen if you reframed this as a positive structure for the relationship, one that can let it take a natural course without anyone feeling coerced?

And yeah, you'll need to make sure you have some people around when she and daughter aren't, just to provide energy and so you can know what you are thinking ("an extrovert doesn't know what he's thinking until he hears himself say it.")

That makes perfect sense. I think we may be doing that unwittingly now, actually. The nights we areaway from each other she’s often with Netflix or in bed while I’m out to eat with my kids or other friends. That seems to energize each of us and then we’re happier when we see each other.

So two homes it is! The cost is worth it. (That last sentence is how you know that jdate doesn’t work for me.)
