The Patriots have receiver problems

Why would the Vikings trade Diggs, Cousins needs all the help he can get.
It’s a pipe dream, but apparently Cousins doesn’t know how to throw to his receivers. They’re wasting their talents in MIN.

Bill not drafting a single TE in the draft—instead of drafting a RB, how does a TE sound right about now?—should be considered malfeasance. I agree with Captain Stone who has said much the same thing.

Dawson Knox instead of Damien Harris.

TE was an obvious position of need going into the season.

I’m worried that Ben Watson’s 38-year-old body may not hold out.

We had three seventh-rounders and easily could have taken BC’s Thomas Sweeney, an upgrade over Izzo.

We may also miss the coaching of Chad O’Shea, the Dolphins OC, who was our receivers coach.

Meyers looked _lost_ out there. Gotta take a look at coaching in addition to the rookie just freezing up.

All of what you are saying is true, but for me the offensive line is a bigger concern. They can barely run block. Pass blocking is not good enough IMHOP. They can't block long enough for the WRs to get open, and those guys need to do a better job of getting open. I am sorry but the O-line sucks. Good defenses will dominate them as we all saw.

McDermott dominates our offense regardless of OL.

That may be so, but I still think the O-line is a problem. Well its to be expected I guess since the center and left tackle are injured.

Karras has played much better than he has played lately. And when Wynn comes back at LT, that’ll be a massive upgrade over Newhouse.

OL will be getting much better.

Shaq Mason also had a bad game vs the Bills. Is he getting shorter? He looks to be shrinking. I hope it’s just me.

The Patriots just played one of the top 3 or 4 defenses in the NFL, in a game in Buffalo where they were hyped as if it was their Superbowl.

Their offense was off all game - they tried a few misdirections, Brady looking left and pumping, then dumping a screen to the right...and two-thirds of hte Bills defense was right there. They saw it and played it perfectly.

Edelman was hurting, obviously.
Gordon is dealing with something.

Meyers had a touchdown if Brady held the ball a half-second longer and let Meyers guy fall back underneath Edelman.

The Rams gave up 55 points yesterday.

The Chiefs needed a last-minute TD to squeak by the Lions and were outplayed.

The Cowboys lost to Teddy Bridgewater.

The Ravens lost to the 1-2 Browns.

Everyone in the AFC South is 2-2.

The Pats have 2 new players on the OL, a back-up and a journeyman. Their #1 TE has missed the first 4 games. Their 1st round pick is on IR. They just went through a debacle with a seriously messed-up diva, one that cost them one of their back-up WRs.

Oh, and the Pats are 4-0, 3-0 in their division, 4-0 in their conference.

Watson will be back, as will 2 of Develin (kind of a big deal), Wynn (kind of a huge deal), and Harry.

My biggest concern: Cannon is playing hurt and it looks like Mason might be, as well.

Ps. One brain fart by Brady let the Bills back in the game. He hits Meyers at the Pylon and it's 20-0 and it's over.

Ps. The Bills gasping offense had two drives supported by big runs by Gore that would never have happened if Hightower was playing. Bentley made a couple of rookie mistakes, like Gunner and Stidham the week before. He'll learn and improve.

Mason has always struggled in pass protection. It was Brandon Graham's bull rush on him that led to the Brady strip sack in SB52.

where is Mason's elite run blocking? I don't see it.

Not sure, I'm not an expert. People here were saying he was an amazing guard, but when my amateur eyes questioned him after SB52 I got some flak for it.

Yep...Mason has sucked All Season Long...looks like he signed his new contract and is now more interested in cashing checks than opening holes or protecting the pocket...It was also Mason who allowed pressure vs Brady in SB52 on 4th/5 (following the poor Amendola pass/Brady drop on 3rd/5) during the 2nd quarter that caused the intended pass to Gronk to fall short...Speaking of which, is Mason's shortness finally getting the better of him?

1 bad game is not the end of the world. Edelman didn’t look 100% and I really wouldn’t be mad if he sits against the Redskins. Gordon does need to be more consistent and they need to stop throwing him the slants he always drops. Dorsett and James White are basically the WR3 option and I am fine with either. The issue to me is the O-line. The screen game isn’t working and they aren’t opening holes in the running game.

It would be a start if the OL men start playing well that should be playing well...

It's because every time you see him, he's on his ass, rather than standing.

Let's just hope Shaq Mason is not turning into fat or short cat by your description. Like Sony he has not played as well as last year either.

I would be fine if Edelman sits for the next 3 games: skins, giants and jets

It is what it is.

We are playing without Edelman, Watson and Harry. Meyers instead of Harry hasn't shown us much.

It shouldn't be surprising that the line will take half the season to gel, given that we have a LT of the street, plus a backup center starting. In addition, there are injuries among the starters. We are thin at backup, with Eleumunor backing up OG and OT, and undeserving Ferentz active every week.

Well, the tape is out and it looks like the receivers were getting open, the QB was just doing a shiznit job of getting the ball to the open guy.

Again Brady didn't have a clean pocket. His inability to throw on Sunday may have a lot to do with Andrew's missing and Mason's regression. This is not good to see.
