Classic "Baby Boomer" who first was a Cleveland Browns Fan in the 50's to late 60's, when they were good, then became part of the Pats Legion after the NYJ won the Superbowl and I knew the AFL was real and here to stay..

The greatest adventure about being old is the opportunity to meet lots of different medical professionals and have lotsa tests.. good health insurance is a plus... then convincing yourself that none of this medical stuff is real and you can live for another 20 years...
You reach a point first when your doctors are younger than you...and at a later stage when they are your children's age........

Turned 32 in August. I remember watching SB36 in the house I grew up in and that seems like a lifetime ago. I remember going to school (high school) and talking about Patriots games and how Brady played and calls Belichick made. Now I am married with a house, expecting my first kid and I go into work talking about how Brady played and calls Belichick made. Really is crazy to think about.

it must be interesting for you fans who are young enough to not remember pre-Belichick/Brady era. Hard for me to fathom what that would be like, and not just the Pats but all the teams.

I took my son to a Bruins game like a week after winning SB 36.. He was like 6 maybe.. B's lost 2-0... we were walking to the car, I had bought him a huge Bruins Jersey he was wearing.

And I notice he is fighting back tears. I say "son, what is wrong buddy", .. in a real low voice struggling to hold back tears he goes "if...if.. we never score any goal.... (gulps) we're.. , we're, never gonna win the SUPER BOWL.

I don't think I ever laughed so hard. I tell that story all the time. Then for his growing up years all his teams just win over and over and over.

No one under 20? Wow
I was 18 when I started posting here

Like you I joined here when I was a teenager (14-15) a few days after the Broncos beat the Pats in 05. I was also fairly surprised by the poll results. I’m thinking that age bracket has more likely found its home on Reddit nowadays.

Could be true, but I joined in 2014. I’m 22.
Reddit certainly existed then. Guess I’m just the weird one

I was the weird one interacting about football with a bunch of 50 yr olds on HS computers while normal kids were getting girlfriends. ;)

I joined here at the age of 24 largely to post in the PoFo (I left most of the main board discussions to the experts in football who do anything but play/coach/gm professional football in real life) although I had lurked here, generally, for years before that.

Am currently 36.

Perhaps folks under 21 are used to telling everyone that they are 21.

Pats fan in 1960
Took future wife to Pats games in Fenway Park. Sat in bleachers (end zone). Cool broken beer bottle fights those Friday nights.
Babe Parilli was the "new" QB.
Saw Jim Nance working out in rubber suit at Phillips Andover Academy training camp.
Would not be here without 21st century medicine.
no longer a redhead

If one is too young to remember the "bad old days" pre-TB/BB, does that make them a bandwagon fan by default? Asking for a friend.

:)

If you think that the "bad old days" are pre-TB/BB, than you don't come close to remember the bad old days.

One needs at least to start before Kraft bought the team.

One could look at the time Kiam owned the team, or the years when we competed for the first pick in the draft.

I’m so old I don’t remember my age. I think I’m 63.

I was around when this was recorded

Two things about The Beatles.

1) When I first started listening to music in the 60's most music was mono sounding. The Beatles changed that.

2) In spite of many years making music, none of their songs sound at all alike.

Here's one of my favorites...

Solidly millennial at 31 here. Surprised at the lack of younger people here but guess most of them no longer use message boards.

Both of our sons are in their late 30's and don't understand why I like it here. One of them loves sports and one of them doesn't but they agree that they don't like message boards of any kind.

It all depends on the body part.

If you like traffic jams and people being mad at you all the time, sure

I'm only a hop, skip and a jump from Boston but I try to avoid it as much as possible, with the exception of the North End. I love it there.

You couldn't pay me to drive south of Boston. The only time I have to is to work at a golf event in Norton MA, and that only happens 4 or 5 days every other year.
