I too wish Michel could just morph through the solid bodies that his patchwork OL is incapable of blocking.

Sometimes you gotta wonder if people actually watch the games when they complain about Michel. Ironically most of them would be the first ***** about how little separation WRs are getting to defend Brady.

If it’s just the OL though, Burkhead wouldn’t have 4.7 yards per carry, would he? Michel hasn’t been used in space and that needs to (and will) happen eventually. LBs and DLs cheat, stunt and gap when he’s in the game. And on one of the plays in the vid, he didn’t improvise to find the hole.

I agree. I'm a bit disappointed that he hasn't been featured in the passing game as a receiver.

Omg did you even look at the video clips just posted? God! Burkhead is mostly running draw plays, Sony is not. The Patriots want to be able to dominate the line and run power stuff when they decide to. The line is not able to do that yet. So when they try they are failing, but it is a long season.

You are aware that they are using Michel and Burkhead completely differently, right ?

It is like comparing the ypc for Dorsett/whoever on jet sweeps with Michel when he runs between the tackles into a wall of bodies.

I haven't really seen anything to make me call Mason's play "****". He has lost 2 1v1s in blatant fashion in the first two games where he got bull rushed that make people overreact to his entire body of work this season.

How does he look compared to everyone else on the line on the other 95% of snaps ?

You can only play who you're scheduled against. The Patriots could go 19-0 for three consecutive seasons with three Super Bowl wins and people would still find a way to discredit it.

As my post indicated, I am aware that they are being used differently at times. It's a bit of a stretch to say they are being used "completely differently" and I don't the comparison to Dorsett and jet sweeps at all.

He's excellent when he gets his hands on you. Then there are a few times where he just misses and gets blown up. It happened on two of Michel's runs yesterday where he had no chance because of Mason and/or Thuney. But that happens to all OLs, even the great ones.

You understand that when you look at a play and say the blocking sucked the fact that it was better on a different play doesn’t really matter right?
