Predictable column by Breer. Wondering — does anyone have a link to the similar column he wrote when the Raiders cut Brown?
No. Texts used in court cases happen. Texts being the basis of a charge of menacing doesn’t.happens all the time actually. Texts are frequently used in court for things like restraining orders, etc
I hate Breer. Hes such a dweeb
Again, how can you possibly know a lawsuit will go away when you aren't privy to any aspect of it? Keep in mind the standard of proof is a LOT lower than it is in a criminal case.
let the Steelers snag himBecause putting Brown on the exempt list would be setting a precedent. Just because a civil lawsuit isn’t going away, doesn’t mean that player will be suspended.
Breer is such a DB. Where’s the outrage over Tyreek Hill? Where’s his mindless dribble spouting on about the damage Tyreek did to the Chiefs legacy?
Possibly, but what I was responding to, and what you seemed to be in agreement with was:Because putting Brown on the exempt list would be setting a precedent. Just because a civil lawsuit isn’t going away, doesn’t mean that player will be suspended.
Even if he isn't, the WR corps is better than what the Pats went into the playoffs with last year. I'll take Jakobi Meyers over the 2018 Chris Hogan any day of the week. TE is definitely weaker. The OL has problems.
The D is scary good.........at this moment, after the AB release, I wouldn't trade places with nay other NFL team whatsoever.
.
EXACTLY!!! People in this goddamn thread are acting like the Patriots gained something by subtraction here, and we are absolutely worse for this move.
Every single fan forum of teams in the AFC are breathing a collective sigh of relief right now, knowing that they actually have a chance to beat us without that guy. Just checked the stage 4 terminal cancer known as Chiefs Planet and they are climaxing right now. I cannot believe the Pats just gave what everyone wanted. We damned sure didn't cut Brady for Deflategate or fire Bill for Spygate, and this has just about the same amount of evidence as those did-- NOT A SHRED.
No conviction. No ruling. No exemption list. But we jut let go of a generational player because of a text message. This isn't Ray Rice. We don't have evidence for what's being claimed. But because he sent a text message we release him? I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing what's going on here.
Blowing playoff games at home?Chiefs don't have a legacy
Possibly, but what I was responding to, and what you seemed to be in agreement with was:
If AB kept his mouth shut, he wins, the civil case is BS at best.
Meyers' ceiling is higher, but 2018 Hogan was a reliable vet with big game experience and had built up tons of trust/familiarity with Brady.Even if he isn't, the WR corps is better than what the Pats went into the playoffs with last year. I'll take Jakobi Meyers over the 2018 Chris Hogan any day of the week. TE is definitely weaker. The OL has problems.
