But think about it, just think about it. Someone is suing you and included bad behavior in the lawsuit. You start texting with an angry tone with this person? What? WHAT??? She's probably on the phone with her lawyer after the first text comes in reading them real time. No matter how much he may feel wronged (putting aside his actual or not culpability) how could he have not thought 'everything I say will be going wright to her lawyer'? It's so shockingly astonishingly ill-conceived it strongly suggests he lacks a relatively basic interpersonal thought process mechanism or his background makes him devoid of any sense of the world he lives in now(and has lived in for several years).

I hear you. I am just irate right now. Incensed even.

It bothers me to no end that women can just do this to men. And then when we react, we're the bad guys. They don't have to be held accountable, but we do. They don't get **** on for their actions. Women support each other, lock-step. But men have to stand alone, fighting against women AND men.

I'm not going to be that guy. I usually don't speak up on topics like this, but I am seeing a clear injustice here and people are just complicit. At this point, it's not even because he was a Patriot. Yes, he's an idiot, and sure he probably brought these things on himself by associating with these women.

But my god, are only men not allowed to make mistakes? A text message cost this man a Super Bowl. Incredible.

Slow down a bit here. It appeared the Patriots and NFL were not taking any action against Brown based on unproven allegations.
We don't know all the the details that led to the decision to release him, but it seems action was taken based on something he actually did do that was legitimately unacceptable (The text message). If you were BB/Kraft how would you have handled it differently?

My #1 guess is FB Jakob Johnson (to fill in for Develin), with another possibility being Scooby Wright (to fill in for Shilique Calhoun on STs).

There's some expansive defining of the word "threat" going on, both here and elsewhere.

It's called "spin." The point is, you don't contact the accuser under any circumstance.

The lawyer's job is to make the client understand the following:

I know you're angry. Anyone who would subject someone to a criminal investigation for mere personal profit is pure garbage. Whatever emotional connection you had with this person is now severed and she's not worth a moment of your time hereafter. No good will come from further contact with her. If you don't follow my advice you're screwed.
