Key to Baltimore is obviously Jackson. If he is truly a top 5 QB as he has played so far then they are extremely dangerous. If he ends up closer to 10-15 range which I expect then they should be good but will ultimately fall short.

KC continues to have the most dynamic offense in the league. Their challenge is can they sustain drives if they are not hitting on big plays? How effective would they be in a windy game? No clue how their defense will be this year.

Way jumping the gun... but if things go as forecasted (again, it's early), a #2 or #3 seed would likely have to play both the other two in the playoffs and at least one on the road. HFA could be huge in the AFC this year.
need 14 wins this year to get the two seed I think, 16-0 for the one

for some reason, even with the Brown and Gordon uncertainty, I think the Pats handle the Chiefs more easily this season.

What may turn out to be interesting with the seeding, with tiebreakers and all, is that each of the teams play the other two exactly once.

Balt will drop a bunch of games at least 4 probably 5, and that would be a great season for them.

I think there is a real shot both the Pats and the Chiefs will be making a run at 16-0, and they play each other very late, they both could be 12-0 when they play.

If that scenario happens, one team gets to 13-0, and the other 12-1. BOTH teams need to keep winning to fight for that HFA, so the winner of the head to head game may need to get to 15-0 before clinching HFA... and at 15-0, even if clinched HFA, you are going to go for undefeated season.

Obviously very early, but the fact that there are TWO Super Powers in the AFC, and a bunch of also rans, makes this scenario quite possible

Frankly, I'm rooting for it. Beating so many great teams is a large part of what has made this recent run of SBs such a compelling, satisfying narrative.

I would argue that every Pats SB victory was against stellar competition. 2006 Colts got lousy Bears team. The one team we beat in SB that I did not think much of before the game was Carolina, but they were an extremely tough win.

I personally wasn't too high on the Eagles leading up to the game (either time), but that's fair enough. Obviously, the Greatest Show on Turf was spectacular.

I found it enormously gratifying, in the most recent run, that in beating both Mahomes and McVay, we bested "the future." Of course, the Legend of Boom were defending champs. And we saw the what the Falcons did to Aaron Rodgers (and to us, for the better part of three quarters).

We are still the future.

Hey that can be our next slogan!

I've been waiting two decades for one of these "Monsters of the Midway" type nicknames!

Heavy rain and wind expected on Sunday. I'm not sure who that helps or hurts.

Let the referees throw flags this game.
