Another illustration of the way that truth and satire blend into one in J-E-T-E-world.

NEW YORK JETS RETIRE BLACK UNIFORMS

The New York Jets announced tonight that they have permanently retired the "Stealth Black" version of their new uniforms introduced in April for the 2019 season. The Jets wore the black uniforms Monday night in their 23 - 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium.

Brian Friedman, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer made the announcement in response to "the desires of our players" and an outpouring of dissatisfaction from fans on Tuesday, some related to the uniforms. Friedman also apologized to players, former players and the vast majority of Jets fans for an "extreme error in judgement" and stressed that " It is not an experience we wish to repeat; the organization recognizes the need for this change and wants to put it behind us as quickly as possible."

Jets Vice President of Merchandising and Vendor Relations, Joseph Isuzu stated that fans will be permitted to exchange any Stealth Black uniform jerseys purchased at official outlets for "Gotham Green" or "Spotlight White" at no additional charge. Unfortunately, as with the way the season is going, the team is not in a position to assist those fans who purchased similar merchandise elsewhere. "Suck it up, Buttercups," he said.

I wonder if this article frustrates the sports writers from the Onion. "Damn. The Jete outdid us again. "

Perhaps the Jete coaches should get a clue that Johnson just doesn't like playing football for THEM. Or maybe being in New Jersey has something to do with it.

Or it's just a new and improved version of the usual Jets' ****show.

What a revolting organization.

Gillette Stadium employees prepare for dealing with Jete stank in two days:

Are the Jets your most hated divisional rival? From the outside looking in it seems so. Just curious

Not necessarily a rival. More loathed and pitied than hated.

Congrats on last night's win, by the way.

LOL, Jets coaches have cornered the market on the "let's let our players know we think they suck" strategy.

I'd go with saying it's the team we find the most contemptuous and are the most disgusted by.

Heck, even the Bills fans chucking bildos onto the field at least gets some grudging respect from some of us.

PS: KC at the Wang Theater last night: Out of this world...

The Pats don't have rivals in the division, unless you believe nails rival nail guns. They are more like The Three Stooges. In the case of the Jete we hold them in an extra measure of contempt because we want Curly and instead all we get from them is Curly Joe.

This is a year-round thread. Every year.

That speaks for itself.

We don't consider them "rivals" per se; we feel nothing but scorn and contempt for their franchise.

It doesn't speak for itself. You need to explain that the off-season is when Jete fans are most interested in their "team"; hence, the year-'round factor. Of course, from the Patriots fans' perspective we consider it important to monitor this aberration in the general interest of safeguarding public mental health.

I wish I could give 10 'winner' awards for this post, it deserves it.

I do think in the interest of clarity for the Jags fan that as true connoisseurs of the comedic gold that can be mined from the (ahem) efforts of the other teams in our division the Jete are indeed laughable just not in a substantive way. It's their preposterous NY fan (cough) base that make this thread worth having. The Boston/NY thing has been driving the sports bus longer than any of us have been alive. It's beyond sad the Jete can't hold up their end but dark humor is better than none humor. The Jete are the comic relief of the AFCE, such as it is. And they aren't even really any good at that

Think you need some mucinex.

I would say yes. The fact that their former HC (and our former DC) Eric Ratgini turned us in for spygate didn't help.
