She... specifically said she doesn't intend to seek monetary damages, though. Like explicitly said that.
She did. Ok.

Why hire a lawyer? Why do the story? Why go to the NFL, and Sports Illustrated, if she felt threatened, instead of the police?

It all adds up, if you ignore some pretty basic questions.

Perhaps she's completely on the up-and-up. It just looks...weird, if that's the case.

The way I see it, if he knew she was going to receive the text, then it can be construed as threatening. If he did not know that she was on the group text, then is is more dumb than I thought and need to raise my expectations of what we will see throughout the season with him here. AB has to be AB. Included his lawyer in the group text?
Maybe I am missing something but how is it threatening?
I don’t see anything close to a threat.

looks like first text was clearly meant for her. (he uses the word you) My guess is that he then started a group text with his lawyer and a few assistants, but somehow she was added to the group text.

If you squint really hard, do some logic-leaping, and have a coach ticket on the Gaslight Express, it looks threatening.

Since when is it a crime to text someone who was a source of a magazine writing a negative article about you?

This whole "go to the police" thing is weird. The state isn't going to be able to charge Brown with any sort of crime based on her statement about what happened in that house, so what's the point? It's pure conjecture without eyewitnesses. Nor does this text message appear to be any sort of crime.

That doesn't mean she can't hit him where it might actually stick: through the NFL's personal conduct policy and in the realm of public opinion. In her place I'd probably do the same thing.

If there were, say, a dozen texts, that could be considered harassment, I guess.

I really don't see anything that can be honestly construed as anything resembling a 'threat', though. You really have to pretzel yourself pretty good to get to that point.

Exactly. I’m guessing AB texted her initially then added others to a group text to talk about her unbeknownst she was added.
It’s just all stupid.

I think a more accurate title would be Antonio brown harasses accuser from article. I dont see any threats

It’s really not but the dumbass including her in a group text where he is asking people to investigate her, and then adding pictures of her kids to the group text is very bad optics. Especially considering his current predicament.

If she's threatened by him? Especially considering some of the vitriol surrounding this, like Brown is sending a crew to do a drive by? The state should easily be able to prove harassment and witness tampering if this were the case. Extortion. Intimidation. I'm sure some local police department would be happy to start that investigation.

You go to the police. Going to Sports Illustrated and the NFL is bizarre. Why would she be 'hitting' him at all, if she's so threatened? Wouldn't she want protection? You think she's going to get it from the NFL?

Dude, what was the point of posting a pic with her kids???? You don't think that comes across as intimidating???

"Witness tampering" requires her to be the witness in a criminal case! He's not going after her for money so extortion doesn't fit. Things can be wrong but also not crimes. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

I can’t believe this moffo has lawyers and a whole team around him and he is doing dumb **** like this. How bad would this be if he was completely left to do as he wants.

Attorneys can't stop clients from doing stupid ****. I'm sure his lawyer saw this text message chain and went out and downed a whole pint of booze.

Did you read the messages? He literally said she must be broke because her kids look broke and used the pic as an example. He didn’t say “ these are her kids go look for them.”

Agreed....It's self-destructive IMO
