Bill Belichick: Patriots are taking Antonio Brown situation ‘one day at a time’ – Boston Herald

Added Patriots safety Devin McCourty: “It’s serious. I don’t think anybody sits in here and doesn’t realize how serious that situation is and everything. But I think, from a football standpoint, we have to be prepared to go out there and play against the Dolphins on Sunday because that’s what our job calls for us to do. I’m sure, just like you guys, everyone in this locker room has different opinions and all of that. But at the end of the day when we come here, our job is to come to prepare and play.”

McCourty said the players will make an effort to get to know Brown over the next week or so.

“I think for the most part you always try to judge people on what you get from them and you try to get to know someone,” McCourty said. “I think this is a little different. He’s going through a personal situation and, personally, none of us really know him yet. We’re just starting to get to know (him). So I think that’s what you try to do, you try to get to know anybody new that comes in here.”

Thats ****ing football right there. None of that pansy ass **** tugging smile for the camera ********. Men puke, men poop on the field, men deliver their new born baby on the side lines. ****ing hard core **** in the ass butterball foosball **** it chuck it game time ****. Football is back, baby

Do you and AB text each other? Similar command of the language.

I honestly couldn't parse a lot of those texts. I tried now my eye is red with blood and my left arm is numb.

I’d bet that most of the team knows the true story by now and AB provided some of these videos as proof.

That’s why there’s no overreaction. They all know he’s innocent.

This is a debate that has been waged throughout human history with many taking up your line of thinking and just as many taking up mine. It's a debate that probably won't come to any satisfying conclusion in our lifetime.

It's really the fundamental philosophical question relating to human morality. At one point, nobody considered murder to be immoral because the idea of morality didn't even exist at one point in human development.

But I'm willing to agree to disagree, as this is something we could discuss for eternity and not necessarily come to full agreement.

There's no debate on this. You're just wrong. That's what happens when you try to shoehorn arguments by misapplying definitions.

Is it immoral for an adult male lion to kill rival male cubs?

At one point, it wasn't considered immoral for a human to kill a human child. It's only considered immoral now because we've developed a set of logical axioms concerning the idea of morality.

Abortion doesn't ring a bell for you, then?

if y'all are discussing the rape allegations and fallout, ya'll should really move to that thread instead...its a lot more knowledgeable and a lot less "heaven is falling"

Yes. Any thought that sprung from that evolution did so arbitrarily. There was no morality, then there was. It didn't exist from the beginning of time, unless you believe in intelligent design, which I don't. Anyone who does will surely disagree with me and that's valid.

Of course it's valid to disagree with you on this. Your point is nonsensical.

Let's lighten the mood.

Abortion is exhausting. It literally sucks the life out of you.

At least wait after the wedding to drop the suit? I don't understand her line of reasoning at all. People like her makes me question if I am the one who does things wrongly.

She alleges they had a brother/sister relationship, and his advances were never wanted.

It doesn't prove whether she was or wasn't raped - but it does speak to her credibility.

This is why I emphasized the timing of the pictures. If they were taken before the first incident, then I don't think they have much value. If they were taken after the incident (which even Brown practically admits to) then they have value.

Have you seen that thread, recently?

Me neither, and my Mom was Barbara Billingsley.

Or, you can just live in Jersey and let nature take its course from all of the toxic waste.

In a way, yes. Their existence is random, as is the existence of everything, at least from my perspective.

I'm using the word "arbitrary" accurately. At one point, morality didn't exist as a concept. Unless, as I said, you believe in intelligent design. In that case, nothing is arbitrary.

You are not using the word arbitrary accurately. No matter how many times you lie about that, it's still going to be a lie.

Morality isn't intrinsic to the universe, it's a human construct. Killing isn't inherently immoral, because - again - morality is an entirely human concept.
Human morality is human morality.
Animal morality is not the same thing because it is based upon different levels of intellect and life circumstance. See Maslow.

That's just my perspective, however, as someone who doesn't believe in intelligent design. I consider the entirety of the universe to be random, including humanity and human thought.
Then why does my dog protect me, and not rip out my jugular in the middle of the night?

So all this talk of a suspension, what's the deal with innocent until proven guilty, can the man not do his job if someone points a finger at him?

Otherwise by this logic you could just get nutjob fans falsely accusing opposing teams QBs before a big game and have them suspended... needs to be some kind of evidence to be suspended IMO, like the Tyreek Hill audio or something concrete against AB.

Goodell can pick and choose who he wants to punish and not punish. He doesn’t have to be consistent.
