I will reserve judgement when more facts come out.

I’m not sure that having this drama queen on this team is going to be worth it. I take pride of the Pats drafting high character type players and the old school head down, mouth shut, hard working players. This guy is far from that. Again I am not saying he is guilty of these accusations. But man is he a human hornets nest.

Comments:

1.) Guilty until proven innocent is how we approach sexual assault cases. And it should be that way...most victims are telling the truth. So, it is better to err on the side of the victim.

You should never post on this subject again.

Point over your head. The reality is, regardless of whether it's true or not, the Patriots right now have a person on their team being accused and has charges of rape against them. Unless a massive breakthrough comes out in the next day or so, every single week the team will be answering questions about AB. Every single game they will be talking about the accused rapist on our team. It is not something they can get out from under. It really isn't.

As of now, he hasn't played a snap for us. We can cut bait. Nobody will touch him until this is definitively done
I think that a mans rights are more important that “someone will ask a question”.
You apparently would throw anyone accused if something under the bus without proof just because the accusation meant someone would ask a question
Yes way over my head how any person could lack the character necessary to understand how weak that position is.

He might not of raped her, but he definitely jaked off on her back(while she was dressed) from his own words. Guy is a turd.
Being a "turd" should not keep you from working at your job. If it did, the unemployment rate in this country would SKYROCKET.

What was said in that video scrolling through text?

YES. This isn't going to end today or tomorrow or next week. This is a thing that will hangover this mother****er for months if not several years. Unless he has definitive proof he can release in the next few days that it is ********, this team will be the team employing the guy being charged with rape. EVERY WEEK it will be brought up.
Did you bother to read the letter his lawyer wrote? A lot of very specific details in there. Lawyers tend not to write down specific details if they know they're lies; kind of doesn't do a lot for their standing with the bar. And if even half of the details listed are true, which as someone else already pointed out could be corroborated by video evidence, she has falsely accused him, which means this will go away quickly.

What needs to happen, if she has indeed falsely accused him, is that she needs to be prosecuted for libel, character assassination, and whatever else she can legally be on the hook for. There must be a felony in there somewhere if she's lying.

I'm not by any means defending AB for any of his character flaws, but no one deserves to be falsely accused of something like this, and it will continue until a gold-digger (if that's what she is, which is what it looks like right now) is made an example of.

He has not been charged with rape. He is being sued in civil court for raping someone and cumming on her back, and is being asked to pay her money to make it better.

A criminal charge is a formal accusation made by a governmental authority (usually a public prosecutor or the police) asserting that somebody has committed a crime. A charging document, which contains one or more criminal charges or counts, can take several forms, including: complaint.

Does this statement mean that you are of the opinion that because some men have wrongly gone to prison that women are to be silent about their attacks ? Do you feel that a majority of women are lying to law enforcement ?

Seems like I am in the minority here, which surprises me...
Women should certainly report assault. Our system has not been very good about dealing with rape. Witness all the untested rape kits. And there's still stigma associated with coming out. But the MeToo movement has been helpful in raising awareness and removing some of that stigma. Still, each case stands on its own. Accusation does not automatically equate guilt. Let's see this play out.

If most of this board was accused of rape, they would be fired on the spot. Not saying it's good, but no company wants to deal with this.
You seem to have very little understanding of the legal system. Ever heard of a "wrongful termination" lawsuit?

11. SKILL, PERFORMANCE AND CONDUCT. Player understands that he is competing
with other players for a position on Club’s roster within the applicable player limits. If at any time, in the sole judgment of Club, Player’s skill or performance has been unsatisfactory as
compared with that of other players competing for positions on Club’s roster, or if Player has
engaged in personal conduct reasonably judged by Club to adversely affect or reflect on Club,
then Club may terminate this contract
. In addition, during the period any salary cap is legally in effect, this contract may be terminated if, in Club’s opinion, Player is anticipated to make less of a contribution to Club’s ability to compete on the playing field than another player or players whom Club intends to sign or attempts to sign, or another player or players who is or are already on Club’s roster, and for whom Club needs room.
Yes, you once again realize that what you have posted does not back up what you are saying. Being accused of something does not mean you engaged in anything. Perhaps a lesson in reading comprehension would help you out.

how conveniently timed

That the Patriots may end up slaying the NFL, Goodell, the ‘72 Dolphins and the Me-too movement all in a single year is a tantalizing possibility.

Please explain how you definitively proof something didn’t happen?

What happens when after the team filled your sage advice someone bribes other women to make the same claims against Brady? Belichick? Hightower? Edelman?

Not true. Most companies don't deal with an employee's personal life. Convicted, yes, but not accused. It's different in the NFL, because of all the media attention they get.

You realize this isn't true right? If he is cut for non performance related issues he can sue the Patriots to get his money back.
So obi is going to sue the patriots? What about the other 36 players we cut? Can Demaryius sue then die trading him?

I find it interesting that the threatened countersuit from Brown is for extortion and not for defamation.

I'm just saying, look at this from a human POV.
After reading the emails he sent, if you know someone is about to make rape/sexual assault allegations about you, you would probably blow your fuse too!
