Bill Belichick: Dominance Among Peers

Wrong. But nice try. Maybe you should've focused more on Jordan Richards pissing his pants during that anthem.

Ray Lewis’ antics were weird too. But I agree Richards looked like that Southwest Airlines commercial “want to get away?” He looked horrified.

I don't think you remember the 2017 season. There were more information leaks coming out of Foxboro than a busted water pipe.

Strategically there was nothing wrong with what BB did.

Again, you are blasting BB and not holding Malcolm accountable.

If he had prepared for the game like he had the prior 50+ games, none of this would have happened.

The beauty of this take is that we will never know since he never played. Some of my favorite designs are the ones that never get built, since there is no liability.

Yeah that argument is just media looking to fill space and get clicks. It's like asking a parent who their favorite kid is. We are so fortunate to have had both.

.

It's almost a philosophical thought experiment at this point. Like the chicken or the egg, or what's the sound of one hand clapping. The two are so inextricably linked that to ask who is more important is like trying to ask if a zipper would work better if you removed the left side or the right side.

It was explained clearly in the Do Your Job I - - complete with video of Wilson waving his arms in confusion towards the sidelines ("What are we doing") and waving personnel on and off the field while nervously checking the play clock. They were a mess.

The KEY was that they had no timeouts left - - they had used their last one when they celebrated too much after the circus Kearse catch.

THAT was the undertold basis to the entire situation. "Pumped and Jacked" Pom Pom Pete Carroll couldn't control his emotions and that of his team after the circus catch and they had to waste the last timeout. BB played the entire chaos/undisciplined Seattle situation like a master violinist.

Yea but what I meant to imply was we wouldn't be having this discussion. He would have played and whatever happened would have happened.

LOL

1) He played 97% of the D snaps in 2017 and the full game in the AFCCG. He was warming up with the first team during pregames at the SB and Eric Rowe was blindsided 5 minutes before the game with the news that he was replacing Butler.

2) Are we REALLY to believe that Eric Rowe and Richards the Accountant (sorry, I've already forgot his name, though he seemed a very nice young man) were a better option while Nick Foles and LeGarette Blount put up 40 points against us in the SB??????

3) Yes, you are right about the FIRST 8 games of the 2018 season. But why aren't you also referencing the last 8 games? Brady had some pretty bad stretches last year too. Why cherry pick?

Facts are fact and It is what it is.

.

You asked for some possible reasons. I supplied a possibility. What you do with it is up to you. Personally, I think Butler's potential weak play (that evidenced itself the next time he took the field for quite a stretch) played a role.

I'm sure Malcolm was thinking that far ahead...

fact is, your opinion isn't any closer to reality than anyone elses, including mine......but only one of us is professing to blind love and it's not me

the problem with any of these kinds of theories is the jordan richards effect........there was no real football reason to not give butler a chance to improve on what richards was doing out there....none at all.......if there was a real football reason, it would have come out by now

this is a coach who put WR's out there in a pinch........

Sure you are. You don't realize you are doing it.

I opened a carton full of worms by mentioning the Butler benching. Yikes.....

Forgot about that. But I think a few factors (Flu, injuries, & Spotty officiating) led to the loss in Indy. The offense, all things considered, put up 24 offensive points on the road.

I don’t buy it either. I think they were seeing the ghosts of David Tyree and Mario Manningham at that point. The look of horror on Brady’s face after the Kearse catch said it all. I think they were all shell shocked.

Colts also cranked up the heat and piped in crowd noise. I remember Pats players complaining it was hotter than usual.
