Calm down my friend. Neither one of us was there, both sides did things they shouldn’t be proud of. I’m not suggesting they aren’t guilty of evil deeds, but things go awry in war. Especially in a conflict in which most participants are just “regular people”...
I don't think we were guilty of cannibalism, for which several Japanese were found guilty and executed after the war. More importantly, because it reflected the policy of the Japanese military establishment and not the behavior of a few sick individuals, was the treatment of POWs. The death rate of American prisoners of war in the custody of the Japanese was around fifty percent. Those nice, humane Nazis only allowed 2 or 3 percent of American prisoners to expire.
Consider Ben Watson after his retirement took some PED's to aid in his healing as he thought he was done playing in the NFL... thus the 4 game suspension.
Gronk with his myriad of health issues may have done the same thing.. reportedly he has lost some of his bulk so not sure will ever see him suit up in a NFL uniform again..
