Exciting stuff!

We are very happy with the school and the town.

If you ever venture to the Other Place Pub on 140 send me a PM. I also frequent Wachusett CC on Fridays.

I'm in that area fairly often on Saturday afternoons, most often in the fall winter and spring. I will. I'm familiar with both spots.

Are you guys the same person, but you don’t realize you have a split personality, like in Fight Club?

I wonder if there are posters who have multiple accounts and debate themselves. If so, that's pathetic

(B) Part of the reason the Patriots don't want Caserio to leave is that he does more than basically any other "GM." Among other things, he attends and often participates in practices and is in the booth on game days talking to Josh McDaniels.
Or
(C) Casario does less than any other GM in the NFL because Bill is The OverLord ....allowing Nick all the free time in the world to play catch at practice or gopher in the booth.

O'Brien wants to bring Nick in simply to protect his own job with his hand picked puppet.

And without a GM for the upcoming year, O'Brien has created a bridge of survival for himself until Nick arrives to offer more cover

Devious and double devious.

Note: Who does Bill O'Brien most admire?
Norv Turner....aka....Norv Away

There are definitely burner accounts
I had one for a couple of weeks until Ian called me out on it. Man did I feel like a douche. That was in 2009 0r '10.

I don't even know why Caserio would want to leave the Patriots for that garbage organization. The money doesn't count against the cap, they can keep him. Is it the title of being the Big Boss GM? The city?

Pats already pay Josh comparable to the lower end of Head Coaches salary. He’s the highest paid Assistant. They also already pay BB for the dual role of GM and HC, to make him one of the highest paid HCs. Now you are asking that Caserio be paid as a top GM as well. By then we’d be paying for 2 HCs and 2 GMs. There are limits to what even Kraft Bob is willing to absorb in lowering his own take even if it doesn’t count against the cap.

how much do they pay Josh?

At the end of his contract he'll be making around $4 million per year, which is probably more than the Colts were offering for their head coaching job.

It’s drôle. Not sure I’d say pathetic. An oldie like me wouldn’t go that route, but you know those crazy millennials !

Side note : I’d put my BFF @mosslost as a serious candidate of “someone else on here as well”.

Yea pathetic is too strong of a term.

I miss @mosslost .

Burner accounts? Pshaw! I AM Jokercus!

I’m sure that Belichick is the highest paid coach and it probably is by a few million, but we don’t have any sources to go on, so no one really knows for sure.
Yea they keep that under wraps.

Thought I heard Schefter say BB was making $12.5m.

Unless Caserio wants like, a bazillion dollars or to be paid more than BB, there really isn't any reason for Kraft to be unwilling to pay it. Everybody works with some sort of budget of course and some owners are tighter than others, but I think we often undersell how ****ing rich these guys are when we talk about it, like it's still George Halas in the 50s being a cheap bastard for a league that isn't quite established. If Belichick said "I want $20m a year", Kraft would look at what BB has built, look at how much more valuable the Patriots are now than when he purchased them, and see that is actually a quite an underpay and extremely good ROI. We really don't know what he's paid of course, but there really isn't any amount of money that would make me go "no way, gotta trade Belichick!" I'd be surprised to learn he made $20-25m, but I would think it quite fair.

Anyway in this scenario, if the reporting is accurate that Caserio is looking for a new shop or a new challenge or a new title, there's nothing NE can really do to fix that unless they have a finite succession timeline in place for BB that includes total control for Caserio (or whatever it is he wants professionally) as the long-term endgame. That seems unlikely to be the case, so if he wants to go, yeah you let him go and snag a draft pick or two if that's how the transaction needs to work. He might know, for example, that BB plans to coach 2 more years but remain GM thereafter which to him means he needs to go be the guy somewhere else and maybe he likes BOB and Watson and thinks he can put them over the top. I doubt it's just about money, for either side. If it were, and he is as important to the team and BB as it seems, certainly you pay the guy whatever it takes as long as TB12 is around trying to win SBs.

Hope we can keep Nick Casserole somehow.

This is the favorite to replace him doesnt sleep has no friends and family and is willing to work for Magic the gathering and anime collectibles.

A bargain at half the price.
About a year ago I did some 1/2 ass math and came up with a formula based on how much winning contributes to a team's valuation.

Starting in 2000, I factored in average YoY annual franchise appreciation for small, medium and large NFL markets. I compared that to peer teams in said markets ( DAL, NY, Philly, CHI, etc) and compared that further to league pace of growth, YoY revenues and compared that to winning %, etc.

It wasn't by any means perfect but I came up with BB contributing to $600-$700m to the overall valuation of the NEP.

Basically at $12.5m hes a bargain, IMO.
