I was there in person. I remember getting into the stadium about an hour before kickoff and all the programs already were sold out.

Thx ... just put it on.
Ellis Hobbs ... now there's some memories.

The only thing I could've told you about the Giants in 2007 was that damn near every time the Giants got near the goaline, Eli was going to throw a jump-ball to Plaxico Burress. Sure enough, Ellis Hobbs got left one-on-one on the jump-ball to Burress in the Super Bowl & I just saw him get beat on the same pass in this wk 17 game just before halftime.

EDIT: Ok, I just saw Adalius Thomas line up on Burress and mug him at the LOS; why not do that near the endzone?

Also, Adalius Thomas is pretty much the only one having a great game on D. He played that way in the SB too.

That was such a great veteran team. Damn shame they couldn't seal the deal.

That was an intense game. Moss was unreal on that long TD. Beautiful.

Imprison the vile scum that is the Manning family. That is all!

He was unreal in the final moments of the Super Bowl too. If only Brady was able to get that ball just a little further so Moss didn't have to slow down. At the very least they're in field goal range if Moss doesn't get the TD.

To think, once upon a time we had a bunch of smurf DBs...my how things gave changed.

I must have missed the listing...but I did get my sock drawer nicely organized.

Tom chucked it 70+ yds on a bum ankle. It was Elway-esque.

Randy underestimated the throw and did stretch out.

They whole play had a .0002% chance of success but I'm not going to cite Tom as the point of failure because he didn't throw it far enough.

Saw the game was on the TV guide, decided to read a book.

I was going to watch this replay but then I remembered I was late for my appointment to have a soccer player repeatedly kick me in the junk

I saw that on the TV schedule. I thought it was the Super Bowl. And I was going nowhere near that.

The rewatch showed signs of foreshadowing SB42. The pressure was on Tom all night, but with no bad ankle he was able to buy time, particularly on some huge third down conversions. As in the title game, Welker and Faulk were the key to moving the chains. And, of course, hearing the announcers call out Samuel for freelancing on a reception (TD in this case) to a guy he should have covered.

Regards,
Chris

Best description of that throw I've read (paraphrasing): It's like hitting the cup on the fly from 120yds out...beautiful shot, but rarely stays down.

Chris

Too bad. You guys missed a wonderful replay of the Patriots beating New York to cap an undefeated regular season, complete with Brady-to-Moss record-setting heroics.

Yeah, that was a wonderful game. I assumed it was a SB game. Then again, the info I saw was from 2008, so probably missed the regular season game (which perhaps aired before the SB game)?

I was at that game and pretty nervous. Caught a ton of heat from Giants fans after Brady and Moss didn’t connect on the long bomb down the sideline. I think it was the next play the exact same pass/route Randy and Tom broke the record.

I'm not knocking Brady for it. It just would have been an awesome play if the ball was a little further ahead.

Wish that game or rather opponent never happened. Gave them a chance to get good film and intel of their guys vs ours. Dont think Coughlin comes up with the game plan for the super bowl without that game.
