OT: Pat Bowlen’s dead.

RIP to a fine owner, albeit of a very annoying franchise. A life well lived.

I will remember Pat Bowlen as the third of the triumvirate, with Kraft and Jerruh, who for many years led the effort for the league to partner with the television networks and pursue initiatives through the development of the Internet to take the league's broadcasting to much greater levels of success. I always snort when I see people credit dumbass Goodell with any of that, I obviously don't know it for a fact but my life experiences tell me it was Kraft, Jones, and Bowlen who did the real thinking and work with Goodell as their figurehead. In any event, making the NFL more accessible and thus more enjoyable, giving us new milestone events during the off-season (the Combine and Draft) is something we as fans of professional football should appreciate

Goodell is Phillip Green from “Casino.”

By all accounts Bowlen was a great owner and great person. He covered the funeral costs for Darrent Williams and flew the whole team out to the funeral. Bowlen donated millions to different charities and Boys and Girls clubs in Colorado. He turned the Broncos into a winning franchise and was instrumental in a lot of the television deals that helped the league grow into what it is today. Aside from the Steelers and Jets there is probably no team I hate more than the Broncos but Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that I wouldn't wish on anyone. May he rest in peace.

I don’t know why, but I honestly thought he was already dead.
I didn’t read the article but I thought he had Alzheimer’s so that’s probably why.

Because he stepped down as CEO five years ago with Alzheimer’s and IIRC his kids have been fighting over the team since.

His kid's are a mess. The son had some drunken rant with Vance Joseph on social media blasting the front office and the other kids are fighting to take over.

Alzheimer's is a tough way to go.

One of the few owners who was quiet during the whole Spygate saga.

I'll always remember him on the sidelines in CLE during "The Drive" in 86 wearing this big-ass, pimp-style fur coat.

Alzheimer's is brutal, hopefully his soul finds the peace in death he was denied the last several years of his life.

RIP. Glad he’s not suffering anymore.

Donks flags all over town today.

Have heard good things from people that knew him, a shame.

Seemed like a decent guy. RIP.

Wish his fan base had the same type of character. The absolute worst. Worse than Steelers, Jets, Chiefs, Colts, Ravens, or any others. Hope they enjoy watching TB12 continue to dominate for years to come.
