There has never been a GM in the history of the league who was able to bring in enough talent to have a legitimate shot at a championship for as long of a time period as BB has done. He has the uncanny ability to identify role specific talent and fit them perfectly into their assignments and do so at the "right price." Does a particularly good job with UDFA and underutilized "busts" (Van Noy types) Parsing BB the Coach vs GM is an impossible task and comparing "talent
across teams is a generally useless exercise. Outside of Brady I imagine the Pats have generally been some where in the top 10 for "talented" rosters (I put talented in quotes as there is no definition of it that makes all that much sense in football in my eyes) through most of their dynasty but scheme, play calling and coaching in general play such an important role in football that I am not sure how important having the best talent is (outside of QB) anyways.
Is Gurley better than Michel? Is the Pats D-Line typically anything to write home about? OL is typically made up of a bunch of overachievers who are molded by Scar and may be marginally successful elsewhere. Just not sure how much it matters.
