Jets Suck -- 2019 Edition (Official): Entering A New Half-Century of Moronic Mediocrity!

Unless Gase his behind this firing and has one of HIS guys coming in as GM, this will be remembered as just another in a long line of typical JETE moves.

HOWEVER, if Gase really is behind this and it's HIS guy who comes in, then that's another story. At least the GM and HC will be on the same page. Now whether that page is the comics page has yet to be seen. ;)

Google eyes aside, Gase didn't do a HORRIBLE job in Miami. He had his moments there. However this works out, he DOES have a QB that by all reports is supposed to be the real deal. He has a DL packed with high first round picks. Plys Bell and the good raw talent that comes with picking so high in nearly every draft.

Lets see if screws it up, OR makes his 2nd chance more like BB's, than the myriad of HC's who failed their 2nd chance too.

The guy who backed out of his agreement to sign with the Jets is the smartest guy in football.

LOL Jets... Maccagan has done a decent job acquiring some talent the last few years and they fire him because the most average coach Adam Gase doesn’t get a long. Never change jets.

I am shocked that this inside scoop didn’t contain the self-serving stamp directly from CJ with some variation of “League insiders were also really impressed with the way Jets owner Chris Johnson handled himself during the process, as well as his impressive decision making abilities.” That usually comes along with the bullsht propaganda that he feeds reporters.

Plus Adam has no idea if those signed players will even pan out yet.

I mean.. look at how well signing Trumaine Johnson worked out for them last year.

Schefter is the king of nailing reports accurately. The only miss I recall is the “bigger fish” than Kraft in the Jupiter spa incident, but I wonder now if he actually got the story right considering the KGB aspect of that police force. However, Schefter is amazingly dense when it comes to understanding, or even trying to understand, the more analytical/economic based aspects of the sport.

Speaking of Schefter....

I'm going to kinda miss MacCromagnon, dude was always good for a laugh.
Oh well, the Jete will continue to provide plenty even without him

Nth hand report taken from Jetnation:

Cimini on 1050 spilling all the tea. HOO BOY. Highlights:

—Chris Johnson wanted Gase and got Maccagnan to go along with it, and they spun it to make it sound like Macc was more involved in the hire than he was.

—Gase DID NOT WANT Gregg Williams.

—Gase wanted the Browns job to the point that Peyton Manning called the Browns first. Jets were the fallback.

Just read that Gase is going to be the interim GM. So that's fun.

Think about this, the nets might be the best run team in New York. Yup better run than the Yankees. That’s something I’d never even dream of saying 10 years ago

Great, the always temperamental Le'Veon Bell now knows his coach didn't want him to get paid.

We already knew he put on a lot of pounds sitting on the couch instead of playing ball last season.

Now he's got that big signing bonus in his bank, and a coach who didn't want him to be paid.

Meanwhile Crazy Eyes Gaze has his father in law attending Greg William's meetings.

Should be the Jetsy-est season we've had in a while.

All that is missing is a return of Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Same
Old
Jete
They, the jete are so freaking pathetic, they are on another plane of suckage. While there are teams that suck, they are playing checkers when it comes to sucking, the jest are playing three dimensional suckage chess..

Under Maccagnan the Jets went 24-40.

Charley Casserly's recommendation.

That tells you all you need to know about how good of a talent evaluator he really was.
