Pats once again hit it big with comp picks

Trey Flowers 18.0m - 3rd round
Trent Brown 16.25m - 3rd round
Cordarrelle Patterson 5m - 6th round
Malcolm Brown 5m - 6th round

Miami got a 3rd & 5th
Unlovable losers (Jets & Bills) got nothing or "continued unexcellence"

Very nice! I really think the value of those 3rd round picks is often underrated.

That we got more than bag of chips for Malcolm Brown is unbelievable SMH!

I think we already have QB of the future so I'll say the picks will be used to replace retiring players and players who want to chase top coin.

So the Pats have a 1, 2, 3, 3(comp), 3(comp), 4(bears), 4, 6, 6(comp), 6(comp), 7(falcons), 7(seahawks), 7(eagles) & 7.

I honestly don't have much to say about those late round picks. If they can find a way to bundle all of them for another 4th I'd be happy to do it.

The 3rd round compensatory picks should land at 98 & 100

This also gives us some great ammunition for early season trades once TC is over and the strong/weak position groupings become more apparent.

What was more unbelievable was the play Brown made to win the SB vs Seattle. It was the greatest defensive play in playoff history.
Are you referring to Malcolm Butler???

That was High who stopped Skittles.

You mean Butler?

The Pats had 12 picks entering the draft this year and next year they'll have 14. I can only imagine how many they'll have in 2030.

I like any draft pick simply because it's another shot a player that could end up a star.

And 7th round picks give the team first shot at players who might be able to play

Yup. I'll have to erase that.

Those two thirds in 2020 are huge.

That we got/get an additional 4 picks in the Top 100 (or close enough) over a two year period is a massive opportunity to rebuild and get younger. If this opportunity is maximized, it will go a long way towards being competitive and prepared for post Brady life.
