My God, participation trophies are STILL being handed out as we post. The worst are parents that B&M about their kid not getting playing time when they’re in high school. By that point, either you’re good enough or you’re not and you and your kid just need to deal with it.

Yep. I always love the delicious irony of Boomers and Xers complaining about that when they're the reason participation trophies exist in the first place. Kind of like crying to a supervisor when they don't get their way, they cried about their children not being included in the winning circle and stomped their feet enough until participation trophies became a thing.

By the way, I'm currently looking for my sig in a wallpaper format.

It would have allowed you to run up more credit to buy electronics and fancy things that you otherwise couldn't afford because, at some point in the childhood of your generation, mommy and daddy wanted to give you all the things they didn't have and created an entitled attitude in the process. The cool part of this topic for me is that I’ve always been old school. I’m a fan of tough love and saying “No”. I also never had any kids so I’m not part of the everyone gets a trophy crowd.

I also carry no debt!

I prefer my managers to be brutally honest rather than “nice”. No one always gets their way. You win some and lose some and “sticks & stones may break my bones, but calling me names can never hurt me”

Recessions are just part of the economic cycle and can’t be avoided. The severity of recessions can be caused by policy.

Who is responsible for 3 wars? I never understand generational anger since no generation can be blamed because we’re all products of the previous generation.
