Who is he throwing it to? He’s the kind of quarterback that needs a safety valve and Hockensen would have been exactly that. I think he will be the best TE in football in 2-3 years.

Yeah, good point. The receiving group is a bit sub par. It'll be interesting. I do agree Hock would have been a beast there, with Foles.

I don't agree with TJ going that high. He's good but he doesn't have the ability to be great. He'll never be Ertz/Kelce/Kittle/Gronk IMO.

He's a mid-4.7 guy who doesn't block as well as you'd think. I was interested in Hockenson when he was being talked about at #32, his relative meteoric rise is a bit perplexing after he tested pretty poorly.

They just dropped a lot of money on Jesse James - and drafted a TE at 8 who plays just like him (probably better than James eventually, sure, but come on).

If Hockenson is only Jesse James, then practically every scout on the planet missed on that one.

He didn’t test poorly aside from an average 40. He tested really well.
