What Pick Would Surprise You But...

Also, I think they trade multiple picks for veterans. I think that’s why their cap is over 15 mill right now. They’ve signed all of the FAs they are going to as far as their own guys who were FAs.

Jalen Hurd at the 32nd pick. Seven rounds too early.

Hakeem Butler. Gives you a big target. Just, not at TE.
That’s the one I was thinking about too. 6’6” 230, and ran a 4.48 40 I believe. It doesn’t seem like a Belichick kind of pick. But what a weapon he’d be for Brady.

Taking any offensive player at 32 would shock me.

Not trading back from 32 would also shock me.

Running Back. With the way mocks are going, we would have a shot at getting the #1 or 2 back in the entire draft. Same thing with safety and I am starting to really like Thornhill.

Glad you like Thornhill.

I would be surprised if they traded up.

I would be surprised if they traded up.

If Fant falls in range or if they do it for AJ Brown, that wouldn’t surprise me. Clelin Ferrell is another that wouldn’t shock me.

Glad you like Thornhill.
What do you think of John Cominsky? I read an article about him a while back, and listened to an interview. I haven’t seen any film at all, but I was impressed with him from those two exposures. I see that he is a late rd, UDFA prospect. Seems to have all the right physical traits. Could he be a good project for us?

Sorry, I haven’t watched him. @reamer or @BaconGrundleCandy should be able to help.

Definitely a bit of a project. Came into college under 220 as a QB. Did a unbelievable job of transforming his body. Tested very well but I didn't necessarily see that athleticism on tape. Very much still learning the position. Really just tries to over power & blow by his comp. He flashes but not enough to warrant anything before day 3 imo.

Put up #'s in school, 40 tfl/10 sacks last 2 years.

trading up for Dillard

Apparently the Patriots have had some interest in OT Little. While I'd prefer him at 56 or later, it could be a surprise pick at 32. Prior to the season he was garnering top 10 overall praise.

Also would make you think “yeah, I can see that”

Off the top of my head, Chase Winovich would fit that description.

He’s not someone many of us have talked about as a likely pick but he could offer pass rush early and could play either a Van Noy or Ninkovich role.

Who for you?

The more I think about it, the more I come back to Winovich, too. I think his handwork is almost as good as Bosa's, but he doesn't quite have the same length, bend, or power. Someone will take him at the back end of the 1st, I'm almost certain.
