Solution at WR

Here's what I would do:

1. Sign Jordy Nelson
2. Trade #64 to the NYG for Sterling Shepard and #120 (Giants don't have a pick between 37 and 95)
3. If Fant falls into the twenties, trade up for him.
4. Draft a WR in the 3rd.
Would trading for Shepherd be better than drafting Isabella or Sills for for slot?

I think so. I liked him better than them coming out anyway and he has NFL experience on top of that too.

Have we given any thought to drafting Mecole Hardman Jr out of Georgia? He returns both punts and kickoffs and has blazing speed and shiftiness.

I still think the 2019 Draft have some promising WR's it's about time we get a couple of young guys on the cheaps for Four or Five years like most Teams. That said I hope A.J Green is in play Bengals are a dumpster fire and he should want out. A.J Green - Edelman - Gordon could have the makings of the Best Offense in the League.

Seems like a pipe dream Trade proposal manman Shepard is the only WR worth a dam on the Giants also I could see them going that position in the Draft. Shepard is still very young can't see them moving on at this point.

Roger Goodell says NFL is focused on getting Josh Gordon on right track

This article says the NFLPA believes they could begin the reinstatement process in May and have Flash here by training camp.

B.B. might have faith in this the way we’re going about things. If Gordon was here from training camp our offense would be elite with Gordon, Brady, Edelman, and our backs (Sony/White).

Folks say that they want a find like Edelman out of the draft. I would note that Edelman's average stats for his first FOUR years was 17 catches per season for 178 yards. Edelman was a punt returner and a #5 WR.

That is NOT what we want from a draftee.

Uh... yeah. Shepherd is a proven commodity right now. Isabella or Sills, though I like both, are not. I highly doubt the Giants are going to be amenable to moving him, though.

Bill did say that WW blocked JE from playing more at WR but you are 100% correct. Any rookie WR will not come in and produce like Jules is now Year 1.

We hate to bring this up but the most recent rookie success story (for Year 1) is Dropson. He played 12 games with a season shortened by a foot injury. He averaged 46 snaps, 3 catches and 43 yards a game. Cumulatively he had 37/510/4TDs. I think everyone on this board would be happy if that is what a rookie did in this offense next year as a WR3.

With that said obviously he was a bust.

I don't consider someone who produced and then was injured a bust because he never recovered.

Depends on how you look at it I guess.

The Vikings were able to do this with only 2.2 million is cap space and the draft only two weeks away. The cap really is crap....unless they will be also announcing tonight that they have traded Diggs to the Pats.

Puzzling. They had to create more space. The cap is real.
