B.G.C. 2019 NFL Draft/Patriot-Type Players Thread

Not the biggest deal but definitely confirms my thoughts that Rypien is PTP QB1-2 imo. Just a tough class & hopefully we're bypassing it altogether.

PTP list is just about done. Wanted to have started reports, should be in a day or two. Work, life, just isn't easy rn.

If we get Isabella and Boykin in the second row I would dance in the street.
I saw a Mock we take a Nose tackle at 32 and the the 2 receivers in the second.
That be my perfect draft.
Especially if we get Stidham in the third.

I don't like this receiver because of his bloodline but it doesn't hurt:

Stanley Morgan Jr.

He's competitive, has good hands, plays tough and blocks well. He looks like Patriot material to my eyes. Hit him in the flat and he'll stiff-arm his way to the sticks.

No relation, actually.

But, yes, love his play. He'd be an ideal target in the mid rounds.

While the hosts of this show come off a little annoying, JJAW and Warring both are articulate, focused, and thoughtful in their interviews. I'd love to see us draft both players, actually. That would make a great second round as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I thought he was related, too. NFL.com says they're not, however:

WHO DO WE BELIEVE??

I guess we'll have to believe the preponderance of evidence until we hear it from the horse's mouth. He reminds me of Malcolm Mitchell, he didn't run the 40 as fast but had a better three cone and 20 yd shuttle. I think he has decent potential.

Haha feel like I've been saying this for a year now but no their not related.
Still love the player though. Been waiting for when we pick up one of these smaller "do it all" types for a minute now. I like Morgon a lot. Very smooth/clean player for the most part.

Yeah he looks like he'd be a good fit. He reminds me of Mitchell but probably more of a mix between him and Mohammed Sanu, a solid piece of the puzzle for Brady but not a dominant player.

Curious to hear your thoughts about Ty Summer. I searched your posts for his name, but the search tool came up empty. His testing surprised me, so I went back to the TCU tape, and his ability in man coverage and zone drops blew me away. Best LB coverage I've seen this year. He moves and covers like Chung, but 30 pounds bigger. Am I way overreacting to say that I like him better than the two Devins at LB? Talk me down from taking this guy in the 2nd round in my mocks.

The worst thing I can say is that he's so fast that he overruns tackles on occasion.

Yea I definitely remember talking about him here but I've tried to search w no luck at times too.

Former QB (Def remember bringing that up) but also spent time at DE until recently. 2* guy so he's probably never getting rid of that chip on his shoulder.
No I love him in the shallow/underneath stuff, hook defender. Great instincts & play speed. Versatility goes to all LB spots in a pinch w some work. Just really comfortable in space.
Tackling is probably his biggest concern but I dont see a huge problem. Just has to wrap up & take it down a notch.

PTP all day
