Hightower not willing to take a pay cut

We've seen what our defense looks like in the Super Bowl without Hightower. We've seen that he makes big plays in every single championship. Keeping him is a no brainer to me.

No flowers no hightower that would be crazy.
Trade him to Detroit with a third for Golladay.

Sorry ... read this as "Take him to Detroit" ... So, I must ...

He was the starting MLB Day 1 in BB's defense...
We have some idea what Bentley can do

Very little idea, and we certainly don’t know whether he can step into HT’s spot right away.

He played a great SB but lets not forget how mediocre he was all season long. With Bentley coming back he is expendable.
Bently was hurt in the first game of the season i believe, You can't compare him to DH on such a limited sample

Unless there is something about his health that we don't know, I have no problem keeping him here under his current deal.

This almost makes me wonder if he is in a situation like Ty Law in 2004 where he wants to get cut.

I don’t even understand why these guys get paid. They should just, like, play for the fun of it. I mean as long as you had fun, that’s all that matters right?

Entitled spoiled millennials

HT is already a Patriots legend. His Marshawn Lynch tackle with a torn shoulder was warrior like and he was the catalyst in SB51 with the forced fumble. If he decides to get his money elsewhere, I will always root for him

At time Hightower was a non factor, i wonder what we can get for him.

I don't see why High would take a payout, and I don't see how the Pats would cut him. A potential trade is the only solution if they don't want to pay him.

I tend to agree with whoever said the Pats won't pay Gronk, DMac and High what they are currently getting this year. Pay a 31 year old DMac $13m or give that money to 26 year old Flowers? Seems to make sense to lock up the younger man
