I've always thought that McDonough's voice, tone, and pacing works much better in baseball and college basketball than it does in football. Maybe it's because his knowledge of those sports really shines through, while he clearly doesn't have the same football knowledge. That said, he is worlds better than Tessitore. Don Criqui is worlds better than Tessitore. Dan Roche is worlds better than Tessitore. A screaming banshee is worlds better than Tessitore.
