Josh Gordon To Receive Super Bowl LIII Ring

More than anything, I'm glad this happened because it will piss off some of my least favorite Patsfans posters.

Braxton Berrios is hosting football camps and posting all over social media about how he is a SB champ and he didn’t even take so much as a snap with the team. Gordon is more deserving of a ring than many who will receive one.

Always the high road with you, lol

Of course he should get a ring

Happy for Josh Gordon and hoping he continues to get the support he needs. He is incredibly charismatic and likable. I had no idea he was so intelligent, humble, and hard-working. It would be incredible to see him back on the field, but I hope he chooses whichever path offering the best chance of success to stay sober.

Addiction is disease that doesn't presently have a cure, though I think in the next ten years or so, this will change. It was only relatively recently that the medical field finally understood this is a genetic condition and not just a matter of weak willpower or bad influences. As such, the science behind how it works and how it can be cured are relatively new but promising.

I hope that the Krafts have a dry Super Bowl ring party this year. One thing that greatly hurts chemical addicts is the frequent availability of alcohol, and the ignorance that many have about social drinking, not realizing that one of your friends is likely to die from alcohol-related issues or is struggling tremendously with an addiction. Alcohol is the biggest gateway drug, but everyone toasts with it and act like you're weird if you choose not to drink.

So 100 people should not be able to have fun because of 1 guy?

Life's too short to be nice to people who aren't nice.
I'm beginning to feel this way in life. Just seems the world is being overrun by a-holes.

I am happy the Pats are giving him a ring. Hopefully that means they will bring him back once he is re-instated.

Addiction is a terrible disease, if we can help him get well, hopefully we do.

When did I say 100 people aren’t allowed to have fun?

I think Berrios is gonna have a breakout season with us, looks like our next Welker/Edelman/Amendola.

Did someone actually say he shouldn't get a ring? There were people (like me) who said he shouldn't be on the field at the end of the SB if the Pats won, but of course he should get a ring. I believe the Pats (and many other teams across sports) traditionally give a ring to any player who contributed to the team that year, even if he wasn't with the team by the end of the year. As someone said above, Gordon had more contributions that others who will be in line to get a ring.

Yea while I have my issues with him seeing to get a pass for his behavior he definitely should get a ring. He was a contributor for a good part of the season on a team that won the super bowl. This wasn’t a Terry Glenn situation where he wasn’t doing what was asked of him.

Well the midget kinda did first preseason practice in shorts and shells many in Patriot nation almost put him in Canton after the practice.

He earned it. The Patriots clearly have his back. If he has his issues worked out and is emotionally stabilized enough to play, I hope he comes back in a Pats uniform!

He more like the other two, but he isn’t like Edelman. I saw him play, he doesn’t have the quick change of direction that few like Edelman has.
