The absence of Kupp and Gordon probably made that game completely different than it would have been with both players available.

Boy did the Pats luck out not having to face Brees.

So many thought floating around this inebriated head right now:
  • On that note, Cooks completely dropped far and away Goff's best pass of the night IMO when Goff dropped it in the bucket near the goal line and Cooks completely whiffed because of impending pressure. So happy we traded him.
Look closely. Gilmore got away with DPI on that one. He was grabbing one of Cooks's arms and preventing him from using it to help corral the football. Perfect example of a crafty veteran taking advantage of players' bodies shielding the action from the refs.

And that is the kind of play that might get overturned if everything becomes reviewable. I am not sure I am happy with that scenario.

Yea I noticed that on subsequent viewings, definitely made it more of a 50/50 ball than my drunken self had originally thought.

Would have been a totally different game but the Saints and Brees hadn’t really played all that well since their loss to the cowboys. Kamara is the guy that I was really worried about in that matchup.
Kamara is awesome, he and Brees work really well together.

By the way, the off-season is so much better after the SB win. People are more chill, no panicky threads left and right, the haters from the media licking their wounds somewhere under the bridge and we can just enjoy all the SB win related perks (can't wait to see how our new rings gonna look like).

Oh sweet summer child.

Just wait until FA when you will read how BB is blowing it again as a GM because we didn't sign X and overpaid for Y and extended "useless" player Z.

For anyone who can stomach some Kraft cringe. Lockerroom video of him handing out cigars post SB.

The one interesting tidbit from it is that apparently the Pats were close to actually acquiring JMac in 2017 but then "didn't close the order".

Ouch...2017 was the wrong year to not have a solid CB2.

Kamara would have been tough. Michael Thomas still gives me nightmares for what he did to the Patriots in an alternate universe in SB53. He is one bad dude.

You know how some of the media people are kinda repeating how the Rams were missing Kupp this year in the SB ? Yeah that was Jonathan Jones last year for us.

We all hear about the salary cap, FA and the draft being the big equalizers in the league. In reality it is the violence of the sport and the resulting injuries that do that even more so.

Plenty of room for 6 and a potential 7th..... and even up through 11.

It's all fun and games until someone gets a hand job.
