Sucks that Thomas won't be available to backup Watson. Here's to his healing up well and coming back better than ever next year!

Getting to some of the other guys on the report:
I hope Koppen isn't out sunday and if he is I hope he's not out for an extended amount of time. It'd be nice of Stephen Neal can strap em' up this week. Colvin started Monday against the Bengals (after being listed on the injury report) but ended up missing most of the game. I hope his ankle isn't bothering him by sunday. Maroney wanted to play last week and two hours before the game it seemed he was going to, but the coaches held him out. Hopefully that means he'll be ready to go this week.

Really, I don't want to say this but why isn't Thomas a "china doll" but some of you think Maroney is? Obviously I don't believe either of them are, but it's also quite obvious some of you believe Maroney is. Yup, the guy who played through two injuries at the tail end of his rookie season and now has a minor groin injury is a "china doll" I'm just saying give some of these players a break, injuries are a part of life in the NFL.

That is a lot of hope....

I don't think Koppen, Neal, Colvin or Maroney play. I was happy to see Colvin and Koppen listed with ankle injuries. Ankles can heal. Neal's shoulder and Maroney's inner thigh (groin), those are bad injuries that linger.

Glad to see big Vince was not on the list.

China Doll Gate - People get their panties in a bunch if anyone calls a Patriot 'fragile' or a 'China Doll'. In this age we have to use terms like 'misses a lot of time' and 'can't stay on the field'. Call a spade a spade, Seymour, Harrison, Chad Jackson, Maroney, and now Thomas have missed a lot of time over the past couple of years. As you said, this is the NFL, injuries happen, deal with it.

Well I hope Hochstein replaces Dan and give him a rest. Very disapointing about Thomas, was really looking forward to seeing him get more playing time this year. There's Rodney's spot on the team, however.

No.
There's Rivers' spot.

Yea, I did use some form of hope a lot in that response, lol. I think Maroney will play this week though.

Yates' absence is good. He and Hochstein can be fine for a game, but I want everyone healthy for Dallas.

Goddamn, Brady is banged up again.

Koppen? Should we worry?

I suspect Koppen's day off is precautionary. Randall Gay being on there is not a worry, either, considering he was on the field and MADE THE PLAY that ended the night for the defense.

Exactly. Having two of Mankins/Koppen/Neal/Yates/Hochstein out against a not-so-great team we can deal with.

Having three out at once could be problematic.

I think this is a week Yates plays through whatever injuries and pain he has, because he's needed.

This is probably true. The worrying should reside with Neal, Maroney and Colvin's situations. Could Maroney have gone if he was needed Monday night and how bad is Colvin' injury-is it going to linger?

On another note, as someone already pointed out, at least Wilfork was not on the list.

I don't know how bad his ankle is, but he injured it on the play where Sammy Morris scored his TD.

They treated him on the field before the PAT.

But he was back in the game the next series and I looked for himn and saw him appear to be Ok. Maybe it swelled up after the game.
So Hopefully it's not too bad.

I was going to say Koppen did play out the remainder of the game so it shouldn't be all that bad, but it could have been worse after the game or this morning when he got up. I don't remember seeing Gay get hurt, and he did finish the game off as you said so he could be among the guys getting time off and their listing as "injured" isn't entirely true. I honestly think if Maroney misses this week it will be out of precaution more than anything, as I believe he'll be ready to go.

I was pissed that they broke for commercial, came back without an update. However, Koppen was later and the game was never in danger of being lost so you would think that they would sit him if he had been injured more seriously.
